Sarah+Marty: the one where my best friend gets married.
Yesterday my best friend got married. And I didn’t have to sit through getting makeup done. No bridesmaid's dress. Her sister got to do all that.
The rest of us girls got to do what we love best. Help our girl. With cookies. And hummus. Random runnings. And pictures. I got to do that last one, obviously.
(Don’t mind the photobombing by the groom.)
This wedding screamed my people. A simple ceremony on the patio of a fabulous St. Louis Brewery (shoutout to Earthbound for a killer space). Sarah was as elegant as can be in her Vera Wang. Picture if Jack Kennedy told Jackie to channel a little Marilyn. That was my girl.
Marty in his custom suit couldn’t have been more handsome.
And the way he looked at our girl.
It took my breath away. I love the way they love each other.
The day started with Dusty slaying the girls’ hair. Johna glammed the girls’ makeup.
Starbucks was ordered before some got too adorable. The vibe was chill. The tunes were perfection. And then we made our way to Earthbound.
A first look was to be had, and Sarah wanted to be in the middle of Cherokee Street. So, I got them in the middle of Cherokee Street in front of the Cinderella building. Obviously.
After the shortest ceremony ever, Oliver’s parents were married.
And then we partied and celebrated everyone’s favorite couple.
Getting trusted to shoot a wedding is never a task I take lightly. But, doing it for two of my dearest friends left me in tears for most of the day.
I’m over the moon for you, Sarah and Marty. May you always be each other’s shot of bourbon, talk derby to one another, and do things your own way. I love you big!
