Originally, I was going to have scrolls with links to what was previous and what happened next. But, with how much new info there is on Earthbread, and how we are likely to get more in the future, I think it's best if I make an archive with links instead. That way, it'd be easier to change if something new were to happen or if something was debunked.

(My headcanon is that the Dark Flour War started 80 years ago and ended 30 years ago. Golden Cheese Cookie's age a lot slower due to Golden Cheese's soul jam. I'll try to give a rough estimate on how long ago smthn was on each post)

So like new headcannon(s) if silent salt got all embarrassed his little flamey wavy hair thingy would flair either like a flame or like a cats fur. And it would gain the slightest pink tint. Like blush

What if Shadow milk has always been a liar? Was baked a liar?
Shadow milk was never the Fount of Knowledge, or at least not the original one.
The Fount of Knowledge was really difficult to bake, there had been prototypes that crumbled and/or never woke up from the oven.
The Fount of Knowledge was the first to wake up and bond with the other virtues, but he crumbled before they could leave for Earthbread, thus stalling their travel.
The Fount was a very very fragile cookie, maybe even more so than Shadow milk, not that he had any way to compare it or would even be allowed to if he could, with them dead and all.
So the witches started baking again, they got better after the first functional prototype but not by much, some woke up only to crumble after a short period of time, some woke up but were too weak to move properly, some seemed promising and lasted a while, and some of those even met the other virtues, but the witches didn't like the personalities so they were "scrapped".
Shadow milk was the one the witches finally seemed satisfied with, or they settled for him because they got tired of trying, he doesn't know for sure.
Shadow milk got sent with the other virtues to Earthbread, he tried to bond with his fellow virtues, but at that point the virtues still hadn't gotten over the grief of losing the Fount.
It doesn't help that they realised that the other prototypes they met weren't the original Fount that the witches "fixed", thus reminding them of their death, so they were quite passive-aggressive or annoyed towards Shadow milk.
Shadow milk didn't understand, he was supposed to be no different from the original Fount, maybe even better, but it's clear he's not the one they want.
In reality Shadow milk is a lot different from the Fount, at least personality wise, and the contrast of it, while being identical to the Fount in appearance, brings grief to the other virtues.
Shadow milk tried acting like the Fount, but it only made things worse with the other virtues, they were polite, maybe even nice sure but were still distant.
Shadow milk wasn't even supposed to be allowed to act differently from "himself", acting like the original is something that doesn't match the figure and reputation the witches demand from the Fount.
Shadow milk then realized he was another failed prototype because of it, and he fears what the witches would do if they discover it so he upgrades acting to "white lies".
Even if distant he still wants to maintain his "friendship" with the other virtues, and what the witches don't know wont hurt him if nobody tells them.
But eventually the "white lies" were told to cookiekind too, and then Shadow milk lost control and the "white lies" became deciet.
Do you ever think about how the witches made Earthbread or do you think someone else did?

Since we’re talking about the Witch’s Castle artbook I’d like to bring up this one thing I saw
Apparently Earthbread was a normal island in the world, one that basically no one went to, and then it was transformed to how we know it today, being all food-ified
This is Witch’s Castle and not Kingdom, but it feels like this is the only explanation for Earthbread we’re gonna get. Also it was made by Studio Kingdom, aka the people who make CRK, so I feel like this has grounds for being canon in that game. Also it just makes sense
