December 11, 2017 - Is “Oumuamua” An Interstellar Space Probe?

"Oumuamua" is a Hawaiian word that means "scout or leader in a battle," according to the Hawaiian School of Knowledge. The word is pronounced OH-moo-uh-moo-uh. This is an illustration of the highly strange elongated object  our Sun in September 2017. Astronomers think it's the first publicly known object from possibly another distant star system to fly through our solar system.

Oumuamua is about a half mile long (800 m) and 262 feet wide (80 m.) It has no icy tail like comets and spins about three times each Earth day suggesting it's a solid object and not a jumble of asteroid rocks. Currently the mystery object is about 180 million miles from Earth traveling at 38.3 kilometers per second. Now Yuri Milner, the Russian billionaire who founded Breakthrough Listen to search for intelligent extraterrestrial life, has organized for the Green Bank Telescope in West Virginia to tune in to Oumuamua this Wednesday, December 13, 2017, to see if any faint radio frequencies can be detected. December 14, 2017 - NASA Confirms 8 Planets in Another Solar System Similar to Ours Have Been Found Orbiting A Distant Star, Kepler-90.

“The Kepler-90 star system 2,545 light-years from Earth, is like a mini-version of our solar system. You have small planets inside and big planets outside, but everything is scrunched in much closer.”

NASA Kepler: “The newly-discovered 8th planet in the Kepler-90 system is dubbed "Kepler-90i" — a sizzling hot, rocky planet that orbits its star once every 14.4 days. This 8th planet was found using machine learning from Google. Machine learning is an approach to artificial intelligence in which computers “learn.” In this case, computers learned to identify planets by finding in Kepler data instances where the telescope recorded signals from planets beyond  our solar system, known as exoplanets.”
