Craters
the Lady Morella
earthriser
In craters and crevices,
Darkened canyons and unknown caves,
I have wandered.
I set sail eons ago to burnt landscapes and frozen plains. My port of last call bestowed our wreck to a sea of ashes, blown in the solar wind.
Never to return I dug in, here, I found solace
In craters and crevices,
Darkened canyons and unknown caves,
I have wandered.
As the scorching of day lasted forever, I found abode in dusty tunnels of night. There, I mapped the most desolate of labyrinths and forged our life into oblivion.
I swallowed the map and got lost in its corridors.
All is quiet in here.
All is heaven and silent ice.
I have countless palaces and immense lands for myself. I reign upon multitudes of eternal shadows
In craters and crevices,
Darkened canyons and unknown caves,
I have wandered
To put distance from the broil of life and the storm in your smiles.
I watch from afar the earth spinning out of dusk, where friendly memories all float asunder
In craters and crevices,
Darkened canyons and unknown caves,
You will never find me.
