My mom started collecting these plates YEARS ago. They just sit like that on top of our cabinets.
As I’ve mentioned before, my house was built strong in concrete since it was originally going to be a two story building but due to my dad’s back problems we kept it at one level, BUT with the original design (the support beams and ceiling are strong enough to support a second house on top). Not a single one moved, fell or shattered during the 6.4 earthquake from Jan 07 and again not a single one fell from today’s 5.5...
The day one of those MFs falls off the cabinets and shatters. THAT’S the day we know we gon’ DIE bitchez.
Unfortunately the same cannot be said for other nearby towns who suffered many losses structure wise, tons of super markets, Walmarts, Walgreens, SAMS clubs ect were ordered to Close Until Further Notice.

Situation in Puerto Rico: Update - 01/15/2020
We recently got power back, but due to a fault in the system between one of the mayor power plants we lost it... again =__=
We still get tremors from time to time, some we feel, others we don’t. But the ones we do feel are the ones at night since that’s when they’re the most active, with 4:00am being the “PEAK HOUR” and we ALWAYS get a “strong shake” at that hour.
Sorta like a wake up call...
a very RUDE wake up call... from that one friend you don’t talk to anymore and just barges into your house like
Yeah ..no fun, but what can you do except stan Bangtan and blockout the world for a bit, ne?
One wild night
LOL so here in Puerto Rico people are all paranoid in between the rain, monitoring where the hell Karen is coming through and the occasional earthquakes that apparently are replicas of the 6.1 we had last night.
To give you guys an idea:
Imagine yourself riding a mechanical bull while out in the pouring rain without the safety handle.
