When translated light novels first started to gain momentum in the North American market I wanted to follow them all to support the genre, but there are now so many and I just don’t have the money or time so I am pretty much down to Durarara!! and DanMachi/Sword Oratoria. I wonder if Yen On will publish the Durarara!! short story collection… I would definitely buy it.

Yeah, Durarara!! is still my favorite light novel and Kyouhei Kadota is still in my top 5 anime boyfriends of all time. There are so many great characters in the series, their lives all woven into a strange web. 

DanMachi I like despite the harem elements, maybe because Bell is such a pure-hearted hero—which is kind of the point of his character—rather than a NEET or a lecher. I really want him to wind up with Ais, though. Anyone but Hestia would be referable, but I worry that is how it will go. I just don’t like the clingy jealous girl (well, goddess) thing. 

Ah well, at least I have Sword Oratoria for more of Ais. The first two LNs were good. I haven’t watched the anime of it, though, since I heard it doesn’t focus enough on the ostensible heroine.

a very short story for 4/20

I am a librarian for a small, mostly rural county, working from the tech services department in our main branch in a small town. One day the USPS guy came in and asked if we'd heard about the bomb found behind a dumpster at the supermarket. They'd brought in the police and even closed down a road. Nobody had heard, and though we tried to find out more online nothing had been posted. Later that afternoon, we finally got the full story. A lady had found a BONG, not a bomb, behind the dumpster and called the police who apparently misheard her. The small town where I work sent in the police and shut down a road for a bong. This was according to the police—someone got a chance to ask them when they came to the library to deal with a public masturbator. It was an eventful day to say the least. Ah, small town life.

I am not the sort of fujoshi who pairs up all the male characters with each other (and the female with each other, too, for good measure). When I imagine fics (since I apparently don’t write them anymore) they are not the sorts where all the members of the basketball or volleyball team are conveniently gay and wind up married to each other. Naw, I am the sort of fujoshi who ships a handful BL pairings with the intensity of several suns. I find plenty of BL ships cute (same as with het and f/f), but it is only the rare few that consume me, heart and mind.

Why is Oikawa so popular in Haikyuu!! fandom? Like, more popular than Asahi, who is way cuter—in looks and personality.

I can’t help thinking that if I were to truly return to tumblr any followers I have left would barely recognize me. I’ve changed so much. I mean, when I left I was obsessed with Gundam the Origin and Kuroko’s Basketball and now I obsessed with Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans and Haikyuu!!

It’s been over a week since I last visited tumblr and while I miss the people I communicated with here, I do not miss actually using the site and will probably continue to abstain. I hope you are all doing well.
