I stg Texans will brag about how resilient we are when the power goes out, how New York or LA "freaks out " without power.

PARDNER they almost never lose power. Yeah, they don't have nearly the storms we do, but their taxes actually PAY for the infrastructure. Texas privatized everything and the power companies STILL soak up your taxes AND your bill for profit profit PROFIT. Also bribery, cuz power companies need to pay politicians to keep their shitty policies king.

Our entire garbage ass power grid was made to skirt federal regulations and privatize utilities.

I keep spookin a buncha black headed vultures when I go check the game cams. There were like 4 today and it sounds like flopping a giant sheet when they take off. Maybe they're nesting in our neighbor's deer stand? Some have nested in a stand on the other side of the property that's old AF and I think they can just have it. They are apparently really germ dangerous and I just wanna leave em alone as much as possible regardless.

I took a picture and scampered by with my cart o corn so I could leave em be.
