Welcome to the Texas Coastal Plains
For my birthday I wanted to getaway from everything for a bit, escape, relax and just breath in nature. I actually planned this trip back in November and was more than ready for it when April got here. YALL
A CAT just walked through my “yard”.
Yes I know that sounds sooo normal and boring, but you cannot even IMAGINE how rurally I live. My nearest neighbors aren’t for a MILE in any direction.
A CAT
JUST WALKED
THROUGH MY YARD
I say “yard” because it’s basically the short grassy area surrounding the house, the part that’s NOT dense forest.
This cat, just a regularo tuxedo cat, little bit fat, totally normal house cat, just walked by.
He wasn’t even 15 feet away from the porch where we’re sitting, either! He just casually, slowly strolled through the yard like he didn’t even see us or care about us. And he just glanced over like “nightchall!” as we were staring, slackjawed, at him, and he walked on past.
WHAT THE HELL?? WHAT?? DID THAT REALLY HAPPEN?
Where did he come from? How did he even get here? Where does he live? Where is he going? What the fuck is he doing way out here? Is he all by himself? Does he live in my woods? Is he why I haven’t seen Scarmadillo for a while? How did he miss the little field mouse that was right out there this evening? How has he not been eaten by all the predators out here? Where is he going? Is he a barncat? Did he see the shop going up and just think woo hey new house? Did that really just happen?
