What a time to be alive in the Beastrandt!
‘Beast rap (East rand rap) is growing stronger by the day.’
It’s great to see emerging acts from my hometown and current place of residence influencing the scope of sound in South Africa. Anyone who knows musicians from the beast knows of their genuine personalities and uncompromising approach to music.
Because we’re so far away from the central point of Johannesburg, it has allowed us to formulate our own approach into the game and this song has really encompassed that very evaluation.
Most Beast rappers fall under the radar of mainstream lookout, and that is the true beauty of beast rap. You cannot box it in or suss it out. It remains relentlessly dope and with the growing sensibility of artist branding, it’s marketability in the world of 2016 grows by the minute.
It is up to KLY to do his best with this Wichi 1080-produced single and I’m glad that he has done justice to an idea I have for a very long time, longed for.
Priddy Ugly is a man on a mission and I’m glad that the former Dapper Gang lieutenant is finally finding his stride within mainstream appeal. And man Frank Casino? Frank Casino came to the party with fresh body bags man.
Perhaps a young blogger-view may be in order?
