Enjoy the delectable taste of homemade Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs by making these simple imitations. These confections are ideal for Easter or any other time you're in the mood for the traditional peanut butter and chocolate combination.
Ingredients: 2 cups of milk chocolate chips. 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter. 1/4 cup of powdered sugar. 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract. A pinch of salt.
Instructions: Melt 1 cup of milk chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Spoon the melted chocolate into egg-shaped molds, covering the bottoms and sides. Place the molds in the freezer for 10 minutes to set. In a separate bowl, mix together the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until well combined. Remove the chocolate-filled molds from the freezer and fill each with the peanut butter mixture, leaving a little space at the top for more chocolate. Melt the remaining 1 cup of milk chocolate chips and spoon it over the peanut butter filling in each mold, covering the tops completely. Return the molds to the freezer for another 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is set. Gently remove the peanut butter eggs from the molds and store them in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.
