Ingredients:
For the Stuffed Shells:
12-16 large pasta shells (conchiglioni)
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 cup ricotta cheese
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 egg
Fresh parsley for garnish
For the Sauce:
2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a little heat)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta Shells:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the large pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
Prepare the Beef Filling:
In a large skillet, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened (about 3 minutes).
