*general warning for a politics student going off the rails* *I really need this out of my head and unfortunately I’ve decided to unload on you, dear Author* now I know that sounds grandiose, but to me, the Statue of Secrecy falling is just. so big. I feel like it has the potential to really reshape the fabric of very many societies... when the fic went in this direction I was reminded of the new xmen trilogy, you know, mutants suddenly appearing during the Cuban missile crisis. 1/7

2/7 But this time, most every adult wizard is much more powerful than most mutants were, so it’s a much bigger deal! And the year is like, 1998ish . So we’re dealing with a very different political situation. I don’t think an international tribunal is going to cut it, at first at least. Mainly because there were combat and casualties on both sides in the UK, you really need to go through the British gov (was that, New Labour? I don’t know anything about British politics don’t tell my professors

3/7And here’s where it actually gets interesting (to me at least). Let’s say they do get on with it, liaising with the British gov – getting (what I read as) the Evil Multinational Corporation that Justin’s mom works for indicted (there is a large debate whose prison they should be put in, with Tom desperately trying not to point any muggle eyes towards Azkaban’s existence because, ugh, human rights? Though they might lease it to the US as a black-ops site lmaoo).

4/7Then ofc you do go the UN, or a new body fit for purpose. But wizards change soo much. Like, if you have a demonstration with wizards in it, what you’re gonna do to them with muggle dispersion tactics? Imagine the 2001- antiwar protests in Britain alone… I think as regular people get used to wizards, you really might get just about the opposite of what would have been a healthy separation in Scottish forests.

5/7There are/were so many muggle movements that’d love to include wizarding folk. I can imagine muggle-wizard communes sprouting up all around the world, including overthrowing some governments. Other countries still are empowered in the authoritarian directions ofc…. In my head, the post-Oak priest canon timeline has a wizard dictator instead of Putin in Russia for example.

6/7And in the global North, I really want to sea state power eroding more and more, what with the oaks’ song becoming new impetus behind the alterglobalist and environmental movements… and eventually everyone lives together in some sort of anarchocommunist small tree loving enclaves. Ever read Ursula Le Guin’s “The Dispossessed”? a bit like that, but better.

7/7Not before A LOT of conflict, including wizard and muggle hating groups respectively, but eventually? You literally gave a voice that everyone can hear to nature. I imagine the fight against global warming and habitat preservation are much more easier, AND then I firmly believe that magic+technology wonders are yet to be unleashed… (see I am an optimist sometimes! Sorry for making you read all that)

Why did Krolia speak with an accent in Keith’s memories but not when she came to the restaurant, why did the Queen (should I know who this is from Voltron like who is it) speak with the same accent? Was it not Krolia in the memory (but Alastair called her Kyla Rose ....) This chapter was once huge cliffhanger I don’t know whether I should thank you or be annoyed I need to know lol

Ahh I'll clarify:

Kyla Rose Crowley aka Krolia aka K. Rose aka Crowley = Keith's mom. Dropped her accent but is from the Hebrides so she can sound like Scottish twitter if she wants to.

Lady in purple that speaks with a Bela Lugosi/Eastern European accent = Someone else that the Marmorans have referred to as "The Queen"

I should throw up an updated headcanon post for Adam and Crowley and others...

Probably not? Long story short: Tsustomo “Tommy” Seido is a jerk, hence why Cindy dumped his ass and decided to raise her son on her own. She didn’t plan on meeting or falling for a human named Henry Garrett, but love is funny that way. They got married, Cindy turned him into a werewolf and he legally adopted Hunk. Hunk is very satisfied with his mixed & chosen family. While he’ll happily do anything for his half-brothers––should they need him––he wants little to nothing to do with his biological father.

Yeees your sorting is excellent although I could absolutely see Lance in Slytherin. But maybe that’s just bias for wanting the most relatable character on the show in the house I’m in.
