I am surprised that you didn't make Light's pose thinking explicitly on his death, though! I thought that perhaps you had chosen to draw him that way to enhance the death thematic in the text, or even that maybe the posture was explicitly stated in the fic. But I get what you say about doing things sort of subconsciously. In any case, thanks for taking my words into consideration at all, despite the blindness of seeing too much!

No, I didn't! (I think, I didn't?) As I remember, I basically based the pose off Light's usual lack of mental involvement into a coital process, his attention may be divided at times. The art was more like general impression of the whole scene, so I didn't follow any explicit description as well. It's funny that the stars aligned this way and there's a space for different interpretations. Yours makes a lot of sense!
The death theme is one of the major in the fic, though. So your statements back then were really interesting, I should thank you here for spending your time on writing all these tags under the post. That was delightful for me as the artist and as the fanfic lover.
