Our Leslieville local, and likely the best bar in the East, is sadly closing permanently on April 26th due to huge rent increases from the landlord and growing commercial popularity of the neighbourhood. This really hurts guys. We all want more people to come to sweet spots in the East, but the stagnant mentality of bottom line-focused commercial property owners, shows us they don't care about the people! (Cue Common's "The People") This is a call for ANYBODY BAR OUT THERE IN THE EAST who is now going to step it up and have a BRING YOUR OWN VINYL night on Sundays AND a Plaid Night on Thursdays! I dare you to recreate the Avro Legacy.
I'll be there pretty much every day*, drinking my tears, until Friday, April 26th when there will be one last hurrah. It'll be like a funeral party, only with more fun and less death.
