Fanfiction Survey: Favorite story written by someone else

Hands down, “Easy Academy.” I have no idea if it still exists online, but there’s a PDF of it somewhere on my phone and I still quote it maybe monthly. I won’t give you the premise because that’ll make it sound insane but it’s beautifully collaboratively written and it’s one of my favorite works of literature, period. I still have a shirt somewhere that has the school crest on the front and "MR PRESIDENT" on the back.

I had some Easy Academy feels randomly today

I was just minding my own business, riding in my car when they came in like a wrecking ball. 

I was thinking about how it ended. NIck was going off to college, they're all together and happy--and then it hit me. Nick is going off to college. Like, you don't understand. College changes people (usually for the better). He's going to get into classes, love them, enjoy every bit of it.

Then he's gonna meet some guy with a drum set. He's gonna have 4 classes with him. End up walking to them together. Stopping at the student union to get coffee with him. They're gonna get to know each other. And then one day, Dick and Nix are going to realize they've lost him. 

Like, it's heartbreaking, but think about it. How likely is it that all three of them will stay together? How likely is it that a high school relationship lasts through college anyway? let alone one with a student/teacher, let alone one with a student/two teachers.

Eventually Nick will find someone--someone...better for him. And Dick and Nix will know it's right. They'll let him go and be happy. And maybe one day, just maybe, he'll come back to them.
