Almost 2 months late but I’m making this blog post anyway. I rarely check this page due to my ~busy~ schedule at work BUT you make time for things that you want, right? :)
This is how Gene and I spent our 6th birthday together. We’re undecided where to go but my top picks were Baler and Calaguas. We did not have the time (and budget) to head to a place that requires a plane ride that’s why long trip on the road was our only option. Baler was our final pick since it’s nearer compared to Calaguas and we both liked to experience Glamping aka Glamorous Camping.
Place: Easy Adventure. Charlie’s Point Reserva, Aurora. Booked thru DealGrocer. Realized that their vouchers’ were saving our lazy selves since our 4th anniversary.
How we got there: Joybus. Booked the tickets online. Worth it for long travels!
We departed from Cubao around 6AM and arrived at 11AM. We were picked up by one of the staff of Easy Adventure using their Kombi. From the bus station it took around 20 mintues to get to the place.

We’re already starving when we got there, we just placed our stuff and headed to the common area to have our lunch. The voucher that we got was inclusive of the meals throughout our stay. Serving’s huge so no worries, you will be full!
After lunch, we explored the area first before taking our well-deserved nap. It was scorching hot that time, guysss.
Easy Adventure’s campsite is not that close to Sabang Beach, Mother Falls, Balete tree and other must-see spots in Baler. Also, we’re only staying for 2D1N so we just opted to stay in for the day and choose from their offered activities to maximize our time.

Kayaking to somewhere we don’t know. Also, ang babaw dyan, not sure why i’m wearing a life vest. Maybe I was proactive of awakening the #disgrasyagirl in me.
One of the butlers, Kuya MJ, followed us and volunteered to teach us how to catch fish. I left the two of them (Gene and Kuya MJ) because I can hear something familiar from the fishing area: the sound of the waves.

Just a few steps aways, I reached the beach, err, the Pacific Ocean (!!!)

What we had for dinner: Grilled Chicken BBQ and Squid with Coleslaw x Java Rice
They have a “lights off” policy before 12mn but they provided lamps for the guests. We just stayed on the bench in front of the tent while we figure out how to capture the milky way. I regret not trying this when we went to Palawan.

Luckily, it poured so it got cool that night. Bring a rechargeable fan OR ask if they have one for rent (we didn’t even think of asking. Haha). It’s actually nice when you have nothing to do at all. Sometimes just being with each other under the stars is enough #angarte.
