There is a quick and easy way to make carbonara pasta in just 20 minutes with this 20 Minute One Pot Pasta Carbonara. A tasty pasta dish can be on the table quickly with just a few simple ingredients and little work.
Ingredients: 8 oz 225g spaghetti. 4 slices bacon, chopped. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 large eggs. 1/2 cup 50g grated Parmesan cheese, plus more for serving. Salt and black pepper to taste. Chopped parsley for garnish optional.
Instructions: Follow the directions on the package to cook the spaghetti in a large pot until it is al dente. Set aside 1 cup of the pasta water. Then, drain the spaghetti and set it aside. Use the same pot to cook the bacon until it's crispy over medium heat. This should take about 5 minutes. To the pot with the bacon, add the minced garlic. Cook for one more minute, until the garlic smells good. Grate Parmesan cheese and add eggs to a small bowl. Mix them together using a whisk. Turn down the heat and add the cooked spaghetti back to the pot. Pour the egg and cheese mix over the spaghetti and quickly toss to cover all of it. If the mixture is too thick, add the pasta water slowly until you get the consistency you want. To taste, add salt and black pepper. Serve right away, and if you want, top with more grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.
