MBBS stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. History of MBBS is that it comes from two different terms MB and BS, MB means Medicine Baccalaureus and BS means Bachelor of Surgery. For Indian students, the process of taking admission through management quota is:-
The candidate has to qualify the 12th class with 50% marks in the medical stream from any board.
Candidate should be Indian.
Qualify the NEET exam
Candidate has to score 50% (for general) 40% (for SC, ST, OBC) to get qualified for NEET.
If you are not qualified NEET exams you are still eligible to take admission in management quota.
Admission procedure for NRI quota
The candidate and their parents should be NRI and the candidate has to apply for MBBS admission in NRI quota.
The candidate has to clear the NEET exam with 50% of marks.
Passport of students and parents.
Visa of the sponsor
NRI sponsorship letter from the native country.

Entrance exams for MBBS
There are two types of entrance exams for getting admission in MBBS course. i.e.
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and
AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Science Exam)
Criteria for qualifying the exam
For qualifying these entrance exams the candidate is required to complete following terms:-
Candidate must be 17 years old and the upper age limit is 25 years.
The candidate has to qualify the 12th class with 50% marks in the medical stream from any board.
Candidate has to score 50% (for general) 40% (for SC, ST, OBC) to get qualified for NEET.
Once you qualified the entrance exam you will be able to get admission in MBBS.
If a candidate qualified the NEET examination can apply for all Medical colleges throughout India.
If a candidate qualified the AIIMS examination can apply for all the AIIMS colleges throughout India.
Counseling procedure
There are two rounds of counseling i.e. round 1 and round 2. In round 1 this is the procedure of counseling:-
Registration and fees payment formalities are done.
The choice filling is given to the candidates.
The last date of payment and choice filling is given to the candidates.
The result of seat allotment has been announced after all the formalities have been done.
In the end reporting of the allotted colleges have been given to the candidates.
