Hi there!

My name’s Kirby, and this is my brand new studyblr. I’d like to focus on the stemblr community specifically, but I think it’s wonderful the general community is so welcoming.

About Me:

I’m 22 years old, and a Taurus.

I’m Latinx, and use he + they pronouns.

My main major is Information Security, but if I can swing it, I may also earn a degree in Art History.

Fun Facts:

I’m a cowboy in real life, and love my goats.

My love for computers started early, but I first learned about coding in depth from tumblr, in highschool.

Everyone always says I love everything except country and screamo, but if I had to list my top 5 genres I’d pick:

country, blues/soul, lo-fi [for studying], classical [for sleep], and hip hop.

I’m dedicated to reading more, fiction and non-fiction both, so please recommend your favorites whenever you get the chance.

Learn more methods and techniques to become a better tutor

Probably a night person but I do become a day person when school is concerned

I’m going to answer for my favorite Greek myth tbh. Probably Orpheus and Eurydice’s, it’s tragic but filled with so much love

What a day. I am So Tired.

On my yoga days I get so sweaty, but if it weren't for Yoga with Adriene my yoga class would be so impossible!

Today I:

went to get a filling

answered my poli-sci discussion board

did like 60 minutes of yoga

and answered my art history teacher's prompt on the Enlightenment

Only got one thing done today, but I also converted someone into bullet journalling 😊

Here's the cover of my bullet journal! This card was given to me by the president of the Safe Space club on my campus, and it has a lot of sentimental value to me.

Today I:

finished up my Chapter 10 Psychology test and got 10/10!

I can't wait for the weekend.

coffee date - did anything unintentionally amusing or entertaining come out of your area's restrictions or response to COVID?

Hmm that's a hard one for my personally. Probably my top two are 1: my friends and I get tested twice weekly per university standards so being able to say "eeeyyyy no covid" twice a week has become a running joke. And 2: our dean has been sending half-threatening, half-slang-infested emails about compliance which i dont know whether to be stressed or laugh about lol. He legit ended an email with Periodt.

certificate - do you feel like you improved on anything non-study-related?

My communication skills, my stress management (???? Maybe lmao), and I think my ability to accept that I'm not in perfect control, I could do everything right and it'll still fall through.

beaker - do you want to experiment with anything next semester?

I quit my internship, so does free time count lol?

But seriously. I use my studies like a 9 to 5 job, so I dont "take it home with me" since I live and study in the same place. I am gonna try to book more study rooms on campus, and I want to try changing my schedule to like, 9 to 4 or 8 to 3. I'm kinda useless un the afternoons anyway and it would be fantastic not to work after 3 or 4, so I have time to make dinner around 5 or 6.

Let's begin!

Thursdays are my real busy days, but today I:

completed the monthly spread of my bullet journal for November

wrote my intial discussion post and replies for Psychology — the personalities chapter

began a roughdraft for #HadesBingo

and lusted over a leather planner I want to buy very badly 😭

Hopefully tomorrow my dentist appt. goes well, and I won't feel as swamped as my day looks on paper!
