People who are on a low-fat or low-cholesterol diet can eat these healthy sushi rolls. They are also good for people who have problems with their gallbladder. They taste great and are easy on the stomach because they are full of healthy vegetables and lean protein.
Ingredients: 2 cups sushi rice. 2 1/2 cups water. 1/4 cup rice vinegar. 2 tablespoons sugar. 1 teaspoon salt. Nori seaweed sheets. Assorted vegetables cucumber, avocado, carrot, bell pepper. Cooked shrimp or imitation crab sticks. Soy sauce for dipping. Pickled ginger and wasabi for serving.
Instructions: Make sure the water runs clear before you eat the sushi rice. In a rice cooker, put rice and water together and cook according to the manufacturer's directions. Melt the sugar, salt, and rice vinegar in a small saucepan over low heat. Put the cooked rice in a large bowl. Add the vinegar mixture and mix it in. Let it cool down. Put a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat so that the shiny side is facing down. Leave an inch of space at the top of the nori and spread a thin layer of rice over it. Put shrimp or crab sticks and vegetables down the middle of the rice. Use the bamboo mat to roll the sushi up tightly. A sharp knife dipped in water can be used to cut the roll into bite-sized pieces. Soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi should be served with it.
