Dinner tonight was out of this world -or country atleast! I was sent a meal kit box from @eat2explore to try at home with my kiddos. Every kit represents a different country and includes spices, mixes, and tools along with recipes to make. It is a great way to learn about other countries and cuisines you and your family may not usually try. . . Ethiopia was the meal kit we recieved. It included a pin, sticker, and fill in the blank passport along with 3 recipes to make. We chose Doro Wat (chicken stew) for dinner. The girls liked the stew, as it was similar to a yellow mild curry, but were not fans of the flat bread or plain salad. I added my own yellow rice and green veggie as a side. . . If we tried it again I would like to have a choice between a few countries. Ethiopia was a tricky one to get my kids to be excited about eating and the food was not very kid friendly. Also the recipe took an hour and a half to prep and cook plus letting the bread rise overnight. That's a long time when the kids are supposed to be helping me in the kitchen. . . Overall, it is a great idea for older children who are foodies and interested in different cuisines.
