US Women's Army Corps WAC
6888 Battalion an all black battalion in WWII.
The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, nicknamed the "Six Triple Eight", was an all-Black battalion of the US Women's Army Corps (WAC) that managed postal services.
The 6888th had 855 women and was led by Major Charity Adams. It was the only all Black US Women's Army Corps unit sent overseas during World War II. The group motto was "No mail, low morale". The battalion was organized into five companies: Headquarters, and Companies A, B, C, and D. Most of the 6888th worked as postal clerks, but others were cooks, mechanics and held other support positions, so that the 6888th was a self-sufficient unit.

HoB Cooking with Ansy - Let’s Cook!
I encountered a fellow cook the other day in Hebra: Canolo, the cook for the best division of the Monster Control Crew led by Captain Flaxel (the one female captain). I love her cute pink coat. 🎀
She was just hanging out at the Crew’s campsite by the cooking pot, & gave Link some skewers for his help. Then she left after the monster camp was taken out by Link & co. - otherwise I’d have taken a screenshot. But I like the idea that we made a warm meal together for the conquering heroes.
Now I wanna make drawings of other notable cooks & chefs around Hyrule, learning from them or just cooking. ouo
