"You should know by now everything related to faling down isn't my thing."
" Look up," He leaned against the door frame and pointed to the mistletoe.
Kate glanced up, following his finger carefully. Wow, what was in that damn eggnog? She pressed her lips together and raised her eyebrows. She finally looked back at him, tilting her head at him. "Soo--" she said, rocking on her heels.
"You slept over."
"I usually do-- is that a problem or?"
Kate was still getting into the swing of things now that she was back in New York. She was surprised to find that Clint's brother was staying in his place with him, she figured it was just her luck to come back to two Bartons. She'd never met him before but she'd heard a little bit about him. They didn't talk too much, just brief conversations.
She showed up at Clint's place unannounced, no one was home not even Lucky. Kate occupied herself by target practice, making use of the targets Clint had at his place. She lost track of time and was brought out of her thoughts as she heard the door open. She turned and saw it was Barney on his own.
"Oh," she said, lowering her bow. "Hey. No one was home so I let myself in."

"You are blocking my light."
She feels like she is being followed. She feels like there is someone watching her every move, from when she leaves the flat to when she gets back. The only time she ever feels the stare gone is when she's with Clint. So she takes her gun with her, her concealed-carry permit still valid. She tucks the pistol in her jacket, walking to work.
She's terrified that her past had come back to haunt her, especially now that SHIELD is gone and her life is in those released files.
But she continues on, she goes to work, she comes home. She lives life as best she can, always aware of eyes following her.
