Do you watch boku no hero academia/my hero academia and if yes then how do you feel about Endeavor? Asking for villain day
So YES, I do watch My Hero Academia, and I even made some of my own characters for fun! I may have to re-post them again soon because I put a lot of time and care into building those OC’s.
Anyway, as for your other question...
That’s a tough one for me, because Endeavor has been built up as this incredibly abusive person, physically, mentally, emotionally, and even sexually. For me, he crossed so many lines and in some of the worst ways. Especially with having to deal with a parent who was like that, personally, it’s not an easy sell for me to like him.
The dude was an absolute monster, in every sense of the word, he was awful and did everything for his own gain, ignoring everyone around him, his family, his co-workers, the entire world, nothing mattered as much as his power and attaining his goal.
Yet, now, you can see him trying to reconcile with his family, be a better person, and his goal isn’t redemption it’s just to do better. And gosh, I wish I knew more parents who would go to the lengths he’s currently going through to actually be better.
So... urgh, it’s tough. Because at my core I want to believe that any person can become a better version of themselves. But at the same time what he did was really awful.
I feel like my hands are tied either way, I want him to be better, I want to see him be a fully good person, but I don’t think he’s done enough yet to actually earn that.
This is such a non-answer, I’m sorry. Endeavor is another one of those characters that hits me personally in what he did, so... yeah.
Jason is clapping, Barbara is downing the drink
holy shit I didn't even notice the napkin throwing guy im cackling
A coworker was talking to another about going out and drinking and I made a suggestion about a good drink and they both looked at me funny so I said another drink and at that point one of them asked in a very doubting voice how old i was because she thought i was 18. I'm 24
i like how your first thought was “oh it must be the drink i suggested”, i’d do the same thing
Sarah dipshits apology could not have been more ungenuine, forced, and clearly written with a PR coach by her side telling her what to say if it tried
she probably doesn’t think she did anything wrong lmmaaaooo
I am Hispanic/Latin and have been to a LOT of funerals. From my personal experience, it starts out as a respectful funeral, but afterwards it's always a huge family gathering where everyone is smiling and having a good time while mostly sharing good stories about the person who has past. That became my view of how funerals are until I went to a white funeral where everyone was sad and quiet. Nobody talked to anyone. It was very surreal.
BUT then I had a white associate come to a Hispanic funeral and they were SHOCKED at how everyone was acting. They specifically said "this doesn't feel like a funeral. Everyone is happy."
i almost feel like when you spend the entirety of a funeral down and low, that person just becomes a dead person and not someone you had memories with, someone who lived and breathed once. you need to celebrate for that reason
I'm about to go to the book store. Got any recs?
the belles by dhonielle clayton is the only thing i can think of right now, mostly because it’s right next to me
