Vomero, piazza Vanvitelli, l'orologio continua a dare i numeri. Orari diversi sui quadranti.

no it is not "social anxiety" or "agoraphobia" or "being a cunt of a neighbor" to not answer the door. i am simply heeding the advice of the wise Klaus Eberhartinger: Mach nie die Tür auf, lass keinen rein.
Jo, durt is mei Dram, bin i daham!
i want to work on Eav more, draw her more, make more of her, comm more art of her

34 "Ba-ba-bankrobbery" - EAV
Written by Thomas Spitzer, Klaus Eberhartinger, Eik Breit, Nino Holm & Günther Schönberger
Then a granny turns around and says "Sonny Jim You'd see there was a queue If you'd removed that thing!"
Part of the UncoolTwo50 project, marking the best singles from 1977-99.
The Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung were a pop-comedy band from deepest darkest Austria. They made comedy songs with some social criticism, perhaps we might compare with Philip Pope's songs for Spitting Image and Radio Active.
EAV were successful from their foundation in 1978, and eventually tried to break the Anglophone market. For some reason, there isn't much space on British radio for people sing-rapping in harsh German. "Ba-ba-bankrobbery" was a revised version of "Ba-ba-banküberfall", with lyrics translated for poetry rather than precision.
It was worth an attempt - Opus had brought schlager song "Live is life" into the top ten, Falco had hit big with "Rock me Amadeus". But EAV found success evasive. The song divided opinion, as we saw on the Saturday Superstore Pop Panel:
"I thought it was art. 0/5" - Nik Kershaw
"Like Bugs Bunny in human form." - Terry Nutkins
"They're like Sparks, I like it." - Sarah Brightman
They never bothered to translate the album Geld oder Leben! or release a follow-up single. EAV continued recording through many line-up changes, finally disbanding in 2019.
Other German-speaking acts in the longlist: Fools' Garden with "Lemon tree", and Mysterious Art with the 1989 original "Das Omen".
