Keep walking past the Ichiran branch at Dotonbori branch and was constantly discouraged by the long queue. Imagine my elated excitement when almost by accident (we were heading to the previous branch) when we saw this other branch somewhere in one of the shopping streets - Sennichimae - and Ichiran that had almost minimal queue. Was it worth the wait? Well, when you don’t have to wait that long, the verdict was simple. I could eat ramen every day. And I’ve been craving for it every day since. Dotonbori, and Namba area by extension, can be highly touristy but I still came back here almost daily. Beyond the food, attractions, shopping and people-watching, I felt like it is a highly concentrate smorgasbord of experiences. There are just enough random nooks to explore for the entire day.
