I have a secret! Swipe left for my secret.... the “undersketch”. I used a brush tip watercolor marker to “map out “ my #modeldrawing before taking a fresh sheet of sketch paper to create my “clean”-ish sketch on top, using a fresh sheet. That’s the beauty of sketch paper- it’s sheer enough see through. The drawback of sketch paper is how it wrinkles up when wet. Anyway, It’s very freeing to create a drawing where you alteady know where everything needs to be places— That just frees you up to get playful with other decisions and expressions! Some gesture quick drawings and gouache/water color piece lower left from the early day.
