“as a driver, you've always got to believe in your heart that you've got what it takes to win it. you've always got to believe in yourself. you've always got to arrive on the day and believe it can happen. you've always got to believe in the positives.”

“i am happy to be the son of the greatest f1 racer of all time. i’m happy that he is the greatest f1 racer of all time, and i admire him for that. and even if sometimes it can be a bit difficult, it is what it is. there are good sides to it, and there are bad sides.”

“for 25 years in racing it has always been my dream, my only big goal, to become formula 1 world champion. i had to sacrifice a lot for it, but despite all this hard work, this pain, and all the renunciation, this has always remained my goal. and now the time has come, i've climbed the mountain, i've reached the top and it feels right.”

“obviously i knew how to drive a car, but driving on roads, knowing everything about road driving, is very different... but i was never taught to park, so i still can’t. then i found myself as designated driver and i was, like, this isn’t worth it either. so a lot of regret in that whole situation.”
