hi! i wanted to respond to this post but my keyboard was lowkey tweaking and i couldn’t write it out without sounding like i was having a stroke.
I first want to say that sexuality is very fluid, especially when you’re a shifter who can experience anything and everything. I do think that it is something you’ll have to work through yourself, the guilt of shifting for a man as a lesbian ( even though i believe that’s completely fine ) because unfortunately no one can give you any advice that will just upright rewire the guilt in your brain.
I will say that as someone who is AroAce here and not in their dr, it doesn’t feel much different than anything else. I simply feel comfortable with things I don’t feel comfortable with doing here, without hesitation. The beauty of shifting is that there are no limits to which version of yourself you can be, and you shouldn’t limit yourself either if you don’t want to!!! Shifting for a man does not change your sexuality, you’re still a lesbian ( unless you decide otherwise ) you’re just simply experiencing a life where you’re attracted to men.
I’m unlabeled but in my dr i’m open to dating everyone freely, because it’s simply just more comfortable for me. Same goes for gender, I’m Agender here but in my drs i’m more likely to pick a secular gender. I have drs where I’m a woman, where i’m a man, where i’m fluid. I also have drs where I’m one gender and strictly attracted to the same sex, and it feels natural to me because it is. I’ve had to learn to not try and force myself into a box of labels because the possibilities are endless, and it doesn’t have to make sense to anyone else.
That’s what shifting is, it’s fluid and ever changing — like you. So don’t feel guilty for wanting to try new or different things, because it’s normal and natural!!
hey so i actually saw this a while ago and just wasn’t sure if i wanna respond but like you’re right and i know you’re right honestly this whole shifting thing. kind of turned into a bigger life thing where i’m considering if i’m not attracted to men as well (or comphet lol) but like whatever !!!
i thought this may be useful to others out there cause i CANNOT be the only human ever experiencing this <3
