Ash and Fire - Echo Poem

Drunk on power they rise and fall all seeing the destruction left in their wake ache in the hearts of the innocents caught in the crossfire ire awakened as they rally and fight might of the desperate to save their land and as ash rains from darkened sky I watch as all we have known burns to the ground

Echo ~

The comfort of your body against mine The chill of the air on our faces The contrast of sparkling diamonds on a canvas of blue velvet

Light and dark Warm and cold Metal and bone Machine and man

There is space for both In the world and in my heart You never have to feel out of place

Bravery and humility Humor and cynicism Courage and gentleness My love and my life

Come a little closer While the galaxy slowly turns And our hearts beat together

I’m in your dreams, Streams, Consciousness captures, Adventures, In the land of pretend, Dead end, We slay dragons, Passion, Until we almost get killed, Fulfilled, But the fire inside us, Fuss, Let us recover and fulfill our destiny, Happy, Of chaos and the calm in our dreams, In our Dreams.

We’re dying trying to go in a fast lane, Brain, We’re lying flying to reach the clouds, Crowds,

Down the road we lost the love, Above, Up the sky we send the doves, Loves

The love we held is too strong, Song, But the weakest wind broke us, Plus.

I couldn’t see the earth, Perth, Down the universe I couldn’t see, Key, The galaxies that may hold you, Blue, In a universe we couldn’t decipher, Cypher, We look at our windows to the stars, Bars, Only to find each other, Smother, Tangled in the Milky Way of our love, Shove.
