Rain World Art Month - Day 2 - Swim
Rain World art month day 9
today's prompt was "echoes"
Art of this epic critter, they belong to @harperfrost !
Listening to ELSE I and fucking crying from it. There are many emotionally powerful ambient songs out there. Rain World has such a concentration of them though... with just everything and the weight of everything... and the unmatched sincerity of ELSE I is just. When I'm in the mood I just lie down, stop and think, and start tearing up over absolutely everything. Tears of pain. Tears of joy. Who's to say my pain or joy defines me? Who's to say how I even exist at this rate? To listen to ELSE is to feel as the Echoes do... emotion upon emotion defines and holds us back but also defines us and binds us and matters to us and is important to us and is something we can never part with and is something so simple yet so unmatched that one must stop and wonder what one's entire philosophy on it all must be.
This is a forsaken place, little one, drowned in blood and tears. Once, it was I who wept. It did not take long to change. Countless cycles found ends at my hands. Retribution sang in my ears. But I grew tired. I wanted to be free–of the blood, of the rage, of the pain. Yet here I woke, forever bound to this place of grief. I thought it punishment for my wrath. Was that truly my failing? Or was my sin the reason I found such fury?
was thinking about arti as an echo, and what dialogue might come, if she could speak.
