Yay Medieval Au stuff!!! I had an Idea that Hyde would unironically start a cult with his knowledge on the supernatural and alchemy, that he would stage spiritual awakenings to the poor uneducated people of the slums of where he likes to murk. Also Hyde is great Public speaker so it checks out, I loved leaning into his theatrical monologuing so I hope you enjoyed this silly lil comic I threw together. For explanation on why Lanyon is here - He's sus on hyde so he sneaks out at night to follow him around and investigate. In doing this he accidentally witnesses the formation of a whacko cult.

While traveling a few months ago I started thinking about parallels between Danny using the ghost catcher and Elktaur from Centaurworld and came up with a new AU
NowhereKing!Danny AU
Details:
Standard DP origin story (activates portal, becomes halfa, fights ghosts, ghosts considered both evil and non-sentient by his parents)
Meets Val, still wants to date her despite her wanting him dead as Phantom
Danny and Val grow closer, they start dating
Danny's self hatred starts to grow, blames his ghost half for making him something Val would hate if she knew, plans to find a way to get rid of it
Finds the ghost catcher in the lab, uses it, but instead of getting rid of Phantom both Fenton and Phantom still have all of Danny's memories
Phantom feels betrayed by Fenton, who demands Phantom leave and then goes on to date Val without his other half
Fenton becomes a ghost hunter with his parents and Val, part out of self-hatred towards Phantom, part out of his continued sense of responsibility to stop all the ghosts from coming through
Phantom shows up to confront him and tries to convince Fenton that they should merge back together, Fenton refuses and shoots Phantom
The two are still linked, so it hurts both of them
Realizing he can't hurt Phantom or leave him to get hurt by someone else, Fenton traps him in a thermos and keeps it hidden
Years later Val discovers the thermos and opens it, is shocked Danny kept the capture of her mortal enemy secret from her for so long
Seems off, begins to suspect there's more going on than it appears
Lets Phantom go, tells him to escape through the FentonWorks Portal
Fenton finds out Phantom is free and pursues him, Val chases after him for answers
Phantom, Red Huntress, and three Fentons (everyone but Jazz) all end up in one basement with an active portal
Phantom shot, tries to flee through portal
Jack shoots at him, misses but hits portal instead and it explodes
Phantom trapped halfway through portal, in void between Ghost Zone and Human Realm
Time is different in void, ages pass as injured and alone phantom warps and adapts to survival in abstract space
For extra plot, Val gets sucked through portal by explosion, gets character growth in the Ghost Zone
Where are Sam, Tucker, and Jazz? What will they do when they find out what happened to Phantom? What about Dani or Vlad?
If Fenton/Phantom link works differently then Phantom could go through Nowhere-King-creating Trauma at the hands of the GIW
Or Fenton could turn him over to Vlad with the safety net of blackmail to make sure any experiments wouldn't come back to hurt him, in which case cloning, fusing/splitting people/ghosts, etc. are possible to go with The Nowhere King's minotaurs
This stuff could lead to a scenario that matches the Nowhere King better in that people wouldn't want to open the portal and risk letting him out
Tell me this wouldn't make a fire AU, CONVINCE ME. Just an idea I had: figure skating but lanyde with competitive rivalry and tension - the dynamic works too well for this. (I'm imagining the plot going something along the line of blades of glory idk) ummm the art is a bit messy but it's kind of a sketch so it doesn't matter too much. This might be the only AU where Jekyll doesn't exist? Yeah no, sorry he's uhh... not here lmao. Yes I know they are wearing Female leotards HOWEVER they slay more, and we can't have an AU where all parties are not serving.

Hyde does anything in his power to piss Lanyon off, which happens to consist of many corny pick up lines- Hyde practically has the anatomy of a woman, don't question it (is this because I don't know how to draw men???? we'll never knowwwww........)
Hello and Welcome to another episode of me actually being invested in a creation of mine the second someone expresses and interest in it (this time featuring me arting because someone sent me an ask)
Anyway Ummm the original concept drawing ended blowing up WAYYYY more than I thought it would so thank you I suppose- Do I know anything about Ice sakting? Pffft no... Does it matter? Hell nah.
Take these doodles I thought were mildly interesting. I'm thinking that the AU would lean more towards like skating racing instead of dance stuff but we'll see... maybe both! who knows!
Is this Historically accurate? no. Does that matter? no.
Alright, This is gonna be a lot, so thou shalt be warned
In the Au, Robert is a prince and Lanyon Sr. is the King, they rule over a small kindom somewhere in England - name TBA (so not like real monarchies which rule over entire countries etc.) The premise is basically; The Lanyon's personal/private doctor recently passed away so they call in a new doctor/chemist from Scotland - did you guess? yep, It's Jekyll. Hyde exists before Henry/Edward meets Robert (I haven't worked out the exact logistics about it yet, but I will) Jekyll/Hyde are more Chemists/Alchemists than Doctors but they are both still very good doctors regardless (so they don't really wear the 'plague mask' thing) I aged only Jekyll, Hyde and Lanyon down to about their early 20's so it matches around the original timing of when J&H met Robert in TGS. There are other smaller reasons but they aren't to important, all you need to know is that it doesn't really change anything
Lanyon is betrothed to Everly from a neighbouring kingdom -this is where it differs slightly from TGS, it's a political marriage not a lavender marriage. Neither Robert nor Everly are happy about this however, they are both only children in royalty so they don't really have an option.
Hyde is essentially the local gremlin that has in-built eyebags and a sense to sell you things not very discreetly that he probably shouldn't be selling. His Cape is comedically large and has a very extensive collection of illegal powders, drugs, and other nefarious items. Almost everybody knows Hyde becasue at some point they have all needed some rare item from him. - this is where the blackfog comes in (yes it exists!) the Blackfog is basically the same but Hyde really wants to go so he can buy/sell lots of items for his little side-business he has going on, however Lanyon Sr. is opposed to it and it's existence because well... illegal.
*Hyde also goes by: The Spirit of [insert Kingdom's name] at night (soooooo original, ik)
Jekyll stays pretty much the same, He really cares about his reputation so he can move up on the social ladder and create his own Science business at some point, and I mean he doesn't want to make a fool of himself in front of the King of all people, that wouldn't be a very good look, would it?
In this universe, The lodgers are all citizens of the small kingdom and they all sort of have different occupations/roles in the town. They can't all be scientists, but do not fear because they still as equally crazy and chaotic as before. Rachel is the Lanyon's personal chef but she also helps run the bakery in town with Mr. Doddle. Jasper looks after most of the animals and creatures in the kingdom, he used to be a farmer but moved to get away from home. I am yet to work out how Jekyll and Jaspers relationship dynamic stays the same in this universe but I will figure something out.
There is A LOT of Jekyon and Lanyde going on here, so I've got something for everyone, (there may or may not be a masquerade at some point...) and it's not just centred around romance, there is lots of other plot stuff happening so do not fear my ace/aro friends (or just people who aren't a fan of romance)!
That's most of it for now... I'll draw some more stuff at some point and give some extra details, If you have any questions please ask (my asks are open) I'd love to hear from you all!!! Don't be afraid to offer any suggestions or other criticisms. Maybe I'll write a fanfic one day who knows, we will see.

Do not fear, the sickles aren't gone! I just wanted to draw him with a big ass Scythe. Orignally I did not intend to do a background but things happen and I think it actually looks pretty good ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I haven't drawn a proper illustration in a while so I'm sorry, but I promise I have something to do with the au coming very soon! dw Hyde isn't killing anyone - he's just in a street fight, a bloody one at that (medieval duels often tended to get quite extreme so this isn't that much out of the ordinary) Hyde's go to weapon is a sickle (This was inspired by the sickle hyde had in cliffs' of insanity)
More to the point - Frankenstein! After thinking about it for a while, I ultimately decided that Jekyll was Frankestien's apprentice...
Frankestein is an eminent healer and doctor that practices dark magic and sorcery. she is renowned becasue she created the creature from forbidden dark arts, however by doing this she slowly goes crazier and crazier the more she uses magic. Jekyll was sent to the swiss mountains in hopes of receiving high level training by her but naturally, she is a crazy old woman and Jekyll recieved a very strict and unforgiving apprenticeship from her that he definitely does not have PTSD from. Frankenstein sees Jekyll as weak and they basically both hate each other, it's fun!
