Redwood Retreat [Open RP]

Ratchet had warned her about leaning too far, but Dragonsbane had been too enamored with the view to listen.

For a few breathtaking minutes, she’d actually flown; wings spread in the wake of a panicked transformation had caught the air, and dragged her along in Skyfire’s wake. Even after she’d fallen behind, she’d stayed aloft - shakily gliding on stiff wings. But the moment she’d tried to control it - to flap, to bank, or do anything at all - the air current had dropped out from under her, and she’d plummeted to the ground.

At least the redwoods had been big enough to slow her fall.

Dragonsbane flicked another rock down the riverbank, and watched it bounce away into the water. It splashed down right by the broken strut of one of her wings, still impaled in the mud, and the femme let out a tired huff of air. The pain in her back had dulled down to a constant ache, but it was the wait that was driving her crazy. ‘No signal’, her HUD said. ‘Bullshit’, she’d thought back.

But, until her HUD managed to connect to some sort of signal, Dragonsbane was stuck down in these woods, alone and injured.

Just herself, and these freaky tall trees…

“….?” The femme paused, about to flick another hapless stone into the river, and sat up slightly to look around her. Had she imagined that quiet crunching sound of dried loam underfoot? “….hello?” Dragonsbane called out warily. “Is somebody there?” Best case scenario, it was the Autobots, come looking for her after she’d dropped out of the sky. Worst case…

…well. Best not to be a pessimist.

“HellOOOoooo?” Dragonsbane leaned back on one palm, careful to keep her damaged back from leaning against the tree behind her. “Come on, I know I heard you out there! Don’t make me crazy…”

Who would win in a dance battle? Megatron or Optimus Prime?

Optimus. Megatron wouldn’t even TRY to dance, he’s too big of a stick up his own aft. Optimus would at least bust a move if everybody else was doin’ it.
