[OC] Short Film Made in Under 1 Week! "His Mother's Son - A Liftoff! Story"

This is the same competition I entered last year among a ton of amazing entries also made within a week! The theme for this year's competition was "Close," and the Mod Elements were Red and Black. Mod Elements are what prove it was made during the competition week and can be found in every shot. So if you look closely in every entry, you can see every shot has a black piece connected to a red piece. (Or the letter P, if the color modifiers don't fit with the thematic vision).
This year's film revisits our little astronaut family, and gives us a glimpse of Teal's original mission. I wanted to revisit the adorable little ranch while revealing the true fate of Red, Teal's late wife and Jr's mother.
This series will tie in directly with the book I'm writing, which takes place in our solar system a few thousand years in the future. I'm also writing a companion concept album, which will feature recordings of my cello, piano, and Omnichord!
Some fun facts about this film:
- I finished the script and storyboard in a DAY
- First time animating a flying object
- First time animating a custom background
- Yes, that was the ACTUAL Moon
