Meron akong kakilala. Itago nalang natin sya sa pangalang Sam. Merong "medj eternal flame" si Sam. Kras nya si guy - na itatago natin sa pangalang Chinito - since 3rd year high school??? Nalaman nya ang existence ni guy sa Earth nung minsang magkwento ang friend nya tungkol sa nakilala nyang guy sa isang inter-school activity. Base sa description ni friend mukhang cutie si guy pero medj suplado. And dahil napag-alaman nyang kapitbahay ito ng first cousin nya eh "nagsaliksik" sya ng mga impormasyon tungkol kay guy. The more information she get the more na parang nafo-fall sya kay Chinito. Oh yes! Napatunayan nyang posible nga ang kanta ng Savage Garden na "I knew I love you before I met you". Hanggang sa dumating ang mga "muntik na" moment nila. Tatlong beses na silang "muntik nang magkita" sa iba't-ibang okasyon. Hanggang after 2 years pinagtagpo sila ng tadhana at binigyan ng pagkakataong magkasama ng isang buwan. Sa isang Summer Workshop. Hindi sila naging insta-Friends kahit na 4 lang silang magkababayan in a world that's full of strangers. Iyon ay sa kadahilanang masyadong mahiyain si Chinito. Pero dahil sa persistence ni Sam ay naging friends sila. At naging close. At parang di na halos mapaghiwalay. Ang dating walang imik, walang pake sa mundo at di tumatawang nilalang ay nasaksihan naming naging madaldal sa tuwing magkausap sila at naging palatawa sa tuwing magkasama sila. Lima kaming laging sabay na nagla-lunch pero silang dalawa ang laging nangunguna at para bang may sariling mundo kapag magkasama sila. Kaya naman naging tampulan sila ng tuksuhan. Ngiti lang ang laging tugon ni Chinito at nagmula naman si Sam. Hanggang isang araw nagtapat si Sam na sa katutukso namin ay parang nahuhulog na daw sya kay Chinito. (Oh well, sa umpisa pa lang kras na nga nya yung tao.) At dahil dun ay di na daw nya kayang maging kaibigan si Chinito. Hindi daw nya kasi kayang kontrolin ang sarili kapag nasa harap ni Chinito. At nakita namin ang unti-unting pag-iwas nga ni Sam. Ang pagsusuplada nya kay Chinito bilang "defense mechanism". Hanggang sa tuluyan na ngang sumuko si Chinito at hinayaan na lang si Sam. Habang umiiwas si Sam kay Chinito ay lalo naman napapalapit ang huli kay Beauty. Ang pinakamaganda sa workshop. At hanggang natapos ang Summer Workshop ay di na ulit nag-ibalik ang dating samahan nila Sam at Chinito. Mukhang masaya naman si Chinito sa "New Found Friend" nya habang si Sam ay naiwang nagsisisi at patuloy na nag-iisip ng mga "what ifs" What if di sya umiwas? What if hinayaan nyang maging mas close sila? What if parehas pala sila ng nararamdaman ni Chinito? At marami pang "What ifs" na mananatiling "What ifs" na lang. (Inspired by Dani Hernandez)

Everybody wants change if it means for the better. Everybody seems to be looking forward to this "change" that their talking about. However... No one seems willing to change themselves. No one seems ti be willing to follow the rules since it won't for their convenience. Ironic isn't it? We want change but we don't want to do it... Or start it If we want change... WE HAVE TO START IT FROM OURSELVES! Change is coming...

Everyone on this planet, at some point in their lives, has had a major case of the feels... Those days when your heart is just too small to hold the big things you're feeling. Today's one of those days. We think of our emotions like they're these unique, personal phenomena, that no one has ever felt what we have felt. There is a basis in science for every emotion we feel... anger ... love... As a scientist, I know there's nothing magical about what makes us feel something for someone else... But then I see her smile. Man, that cannot be science.
