Jimin + 21 - “I just want to hold your hand and tell everyone we’re together. Is that too much to ask for?”
You didn’t care for handholding until you met Park Jimin. He alwayshad his hands entwined with yours, fingers interlocked in a constantdemonstration of love and adoration. Given the nature of his job, thehandholding was always done in secret, where no one could see.
Itwas under a summer evening sky where he openly held your hand for the firsttime. Walking down the street, the familiar feel of his fingers hooking throughyours sent a chill down your spine. He smiled an innocent smile when you lookedover at him, the surprise clear in your eyes.
“We’re in public, you know.” You reminded him, stopping to starepointedly at his hand.
“So?”Jimin shrugged. “I just want to holdyour hand and tell everyone we’re together. Is that too much to ask for?”
“No, but…”
“But?” he pushed, to which you rolled your eyes, a fond smileplaying on your lips. “I’m in love with you, and I don’t care who knows.”
It was the first time he had said those words to you, and for amoment it was like time had stopped. With a more confident smile, you firmedyour grip around his hand and looked at him.
“I’min love with you too.”
