The agreement was that you and Sunny would meet after closing in the security office- as to keep a bit of privacy from any eavesdropping animatronics (cough- freddy.) So you both did exactly that, you had seen Sunny disappear about ten minutes after the daycare closed- but you waited, finishing all your tasks before meeting him. It ended up taking about thirty minutes for the two of you to end up across from each other in the messy office.
You laughed, motioning for him to go first.
“So, you said we needed to talk. I’m all ears, doll.” Sunny was sitting perfectly postured in the rolly chair, it reminded you he wasn’t human- you honestly thought it was kinda cute.
You nodded, taking a deep breath. This was going to go one of two ways. One, he was going to take it great with no issues. Two, he was going to be angry and never want to see you again. Both were scary, because of led to problems you weren’t ready to face. “Sunny.. I have feelings for you. You’ve known that for quite awhile, but lately I’ve been feeling something else.” Your heart had began to race, and apparently Sunny could hear it- as he moved to place his hand on your own.
He nodded at you to continue, taking in every word with extreme care. He sensed something was holding you back lately, something wasn’t right.
“I-I don’t think I know how to say this without it seeming way worse than it is.” You chuckled anxiously, moving your eyes from his own. “It’s about Moon. I think… I think I have feelings for him too.”
Sunny smiled, not hesitating to squeeze your hand in excitement. “Really? You really do?” He asked, keeping his tone as level as robotically possible. He had wanted to share his other half with you for a long time- but he knew how off Moon could be, so he never forced the idea. He never even hinted on to wanting you to meet him. He was beyond excited that you came to this within your own will. Moon was part of him. That was a fact. Now it felt like you could love him wholly rather than just bits and pieces.
You furrowed your eyebrows, an incredulous smile creeping onto your lips. “Yes, I really do. Lately, I’ve been thinking about him and it makes me feel.. different. Very different from how I felt at first.” You felt blood rush to your cheeks, saying it out loud was much more embarrassing than you had originally thought.
He was so excited he felt like he could just explode, he loved you. Man, he loved you so much. He had never told you before, only because he knew that it would be practically impossible to really be with you. The future would always be uncertain. “You have no idea how happy I am to hear that, to have you want both of us- it feels so good!” He practically shouted, taking both of your hands and squeezing them gently. It took everything in him not to kiss you right now.
You genuinely had not expected this, but you loved it. “I haven’t spoken to Moon yet, though. I hoped to speak to him one on one tomorrow. Is there any chance he didn’t hear all of our conversation?” You prayed that he hadn’t, that would be an awkward way to find out that your counterparts partner was also falling for you.
Sunny was stumped, he genuinely didn’t know. Moons presence could be detected by his software, not even his usual snide comment or haunting laugh. “Doll, I wish I could tell you. He’s,” The bot paused, trying to choose his words wisely. “non-responsive.”
Unbeknownst to Sunny, Moon was there- not listening in, but rifling through the pizzaplex’s mainframe to find out information about a ‘new friend’ he wanted to have a ‘pleasant chat’ with. He had been anticipating closing time, but currently he was changing the data- scheduling Trevor to stay two hours after closing.
You didn’t know how to take that, so you just shook the information off. If he knew- he knew. If not, good for you. To be completely honest, you were exhausted. The past few days hadn’t graced you with much sleep, which had resulted in dark circles forming beneath your eyes. “I really appreciate you being so understanding, Sunny. This was a really hard conclusion to come to. I was honestly terrified that you were going to be.. mad…” Your voice trailed off, slightly ashamed of expecting such a harsh response.
Sunny tiptoed, rolling his chair closer slowly. He pushed your hair away from your face, tilting your face up gently. “I love you, (Y/n). I’d be more than happy to share you with Moon- because the two of us, we’re one. One body. One mechanical heart.” He hummed, pressing his lips to yours. This was different than before, it was firm- emotional.
His words had made your heart swell, this was it, the moment you were waiting for. The moment that forever changed the way you saw him, he was yours. finally. You pulled away first, taking a small breath. “I love you too, Sunny.”
Sunny could sense the exhaustion you were feeling, and as much as he’d like to keep you here with him- he knew you needed to sleep. “Go home.” He whispered, stroking your hair gently. “You need to rest.”
You didn’t want to go, you didn’t want this moment to end- but the rational you, the one who had been screaming at you to rest, knew that he was right. “I know.” You sighed, leaning into his touch. It was silly, you’d see him tomorrow. Just like everyday. “Walk me to the door?”
Sunny chuckled, nodding. He placed a quick kiss on your forehead before standing, holding his hand out for you to take. “Absolutely, doll.”
The walk was brisk, not long enough for your liking. Your hand was securely intertwined with Sunny’s, dreading the moment you had to let go. Sadly, that moment came faster than you liked. Within minutes you were standing in front of the staff exit.
You looked up to him, sighing. It felt so much later than it really was. You’d be lying if you said you weren’t ready to take a long shower and rest. “I’ll see you tomorrow?” You asked, already knowing the answer.
A cheeky smile slid its way onto Sunny’s face. “Oh you know it, Doll. Tomorrow, the next day, and the next day, and the day after that!” He went on and on, before pulling you into his chest. A hug before you went, to sustain you until you arrived tomorrow.
“Goodnight, Sunny. Tell Moon as well. Ask him to expect me tomorrow night. Make sure he knows it’s important.” You gave him a smile, pressing a kiss to his hand before gently releasing it.
You scanned your card on the reader, giving Sunny a small wave before exiting the building for the night.
Sunny watched you leave, feeling a longing growing in his chest in your absence. Now, it was more pronounced than ever. His internal conflict was interrupted by a sharp, stabbing pain in his face. He knew this pain well, he’d felt it all before. Every-time he relinquished his power to Moon- it came with that unfortunate side effect. Fighting it did no use, and even if it did- right now was Moons time to front. It would be selfish to keep it from him.
He groaned, metal screeching as he pried off his faceplate, letting the sun fall to the ground with a loud ‘clank.’
Moon was beyond impatient, this was what he had prepped for. He’d been waiting for this moment all day. Trevor needed to be taught not to touch what isn’t his. If Moon had it his way, the more harmful way, he would pluck Trevor’s peeping eyes from their sockets. Even he knew that it was a bit far, and you probably wouldn’t appreciate such a vile act. So he would settle for giving him a little.. shaking up. As he shook out the tension in his limbs, he double checked the time. 10:00pm. Right on schedule.
He wasted no time, he headed directly to the security tunnel connected to Roxy Raceway. It wasn’t a long walk, especially for his driving motivation. He couldn’t careless how long it took, as long as it got done. As he approached the side entrance to the raceway- he listened in, awaiting confirmation that Trevor was inside.
Trevor was right inside the door, checking the logs for the guest rentals for the coming day while blasting some screamo band in his earbuds. He was mumbling about the ‘unfair scheduling’ and about how much he ‘hated’ animatronics- if he hated them so much, why work at a place filled to the brim with them? It seemed counterproductive. Trevor’s back was turned to the security door, his attention elsewhere.
Moon took the opportunity to enter, before sending the office into lockdown. During his planning, he had downloaded a temporary kill code to his chip. This would send the security office into lockdown while cutting off all camera streams. There would be absolutely no trace of what was going to go down tonight.
Bright red lights lit up the room as the fluorescent overheads cut off. They blinked in a slow, menacing pattern.
Trevor yanked out his headphones, letting them fall to the floor. He looked to the computers as they all shifted into static, a mind numbing sound emitting from the monitors. “What the hell?” He wondered aloud, attempting to turn them off. He turned to check the main switch, freezing when he sees Moon.
A smirk slowly rises to Moon’s lips, his red eyes matching the emergency lights. “Don’t mind me, just hanging around.” He rasped, not taking his eyes off of the boy.
“H-hey, you’re not supposed to be here. Y-y-you have to stay in the nursery.. I mean.. daycare.. or whatever.” He spewed, hands slowly feeling behind him for anything he could possibly use to get away from the animatronic.
Moon shook his head, holding up an override key. “Looking for this, Trevvy?” He questioned, dangling it in front of him. “That’s too bad.”
Trevor’s face was void of all color, his knuckles whitening as he gripped the desk. “No..no.. I don’t want any trouble, uh.. Clown Man?” He stated, the end coming out as a question.
“Oh no, we have trouble, Trevor. Did your mother ever teach you to.. keep your hands to yourself?” He asked, taking a step closer. “Did she ever tell you to not to play with others toys?”
He said nothing, gulping as he eyed the way Moon advanced. If he hadn’t just had a bathroom break- Moon was sure Trevor would have pissed himself by now. “What’s this about dude? You’re being weird. I’m not a kid.” He sounded upset, like a child after being scolded.
Moon couldn’t control his anger any longer, he outstretched his metallic arm- hand wrapping around Trevor’s throat. “You didn’t have a mommy, did you?” He spat, squeezing enough to make him gasp for air- but not enough to cut off all of his supply. “Something tells me if you did, you would’ve learned to show women a little respect.”
Trevor’s hands clawed at Moon’s wrist, attempting to loosen the animatronics death grip on him. He knew for sure- this was it. This was how he died. “P-please. I don’t know… I don’t.. what.. talking about.” He sputtered.
“(Y/n).” Moon tilted his head to the side, loosening his grip slightly. “You remember her? Pretty girl who got you here? Ring any bells, kiddo?”
The boys eyes lit up, finally understanding what Moon meant. “No..no.. I’m s-s-sorry, she’s just… so.. hot.” He wheezed, not taking the hint to watch his mouth.
A new bubbling rage filled Moon’s chest, he pulled Trevor forward- “What was that?” He growled, face barely an inch from the boys. He took half a second to throw him to the floor, hard enough to shake him up- but not enough to kill him. “Listen, and listen good. You’re going to leave. Quit. Never come back. More importantly- you’re going to stay away from her. I don’t even want to see you breathing within her vicinity. You’re disgusting. Disgusting. Disgusting. DISGUSTING.” He shouted, bending down slightly to watch as tears filled the boys eyes. “Understand?”
Trevor’s face was bright red, tears staining his cheeks as he scrambled away from Moon. “Y-yes, Sir. I’ll go. N-never come back.” He whimpered, hand moving to rub his throat.
Moon gave him a faux smile as he scanned his chip again, taking the security office out of lockdown. “Good boy, if I ever see you again… you won’t walk out of here.” He promised, walking to the center of the door- back turned to Trevor. “Don’t forget, I’m always watching.” And with that, he turned his head in a full 180- sending Trevor into a panic.
Trevor screamed out, he fumbled with his security card- throwing it into the floor before taking off through the door at the other end of the office. Within seconds, he was gone. It was like he was never even there.
The room filled with a calming silence, giving Moon a moment to let the rage within him settle. He turned his head back, clicking it into place. A job well done, one less person he had to worry about. One less pig to bother you. For some reason, he cared about that. About you- and he couldn’t place why.
Another human emotion he wasn’t quite sure what to do with. Attraction.
