This are related to my fic ideas, but I said more stuff this time
Heavensbee + Trinket Cousins AU
This is entwined w the fact that maaaybe Silius and Messalina had a chance to have a family (but Silius still dies) and since he's a HB.
Also, just saying—Plutarch would treat Effie as his personal guinea pig in this one, playing pranks on her and testing theories to manipulate the adults around them, and since he's the older cousin (6-8+ years older than Effie).
She would be nothing but obediant and follow him close (Brotherly way but he's a damn goof when treating her as a "little sister"), making Aunt Messalina mad af w him and scolding him day and night...
(Aunt Messalina is the designated babysitter in the Trinkets)
But Plutarch was kind of spoiled by his parents, so, no trouble for him at all…
I neves talk about it I just mention it casually (On Twitter), but it's this one where Effie has a kid (So original, I know) BUT she doesn't have just 1 kid, she had more kids too
I always say she had 4 (1 eldest + twins + 1 youngest) but sometimes in my head she has/d either 3 or 5 (Depends on how many spice I'd like to add to the AU)
There's also a version of this AU (The happy one lol) where none of the kids die, and Everlark + Haymitch get to know them (And of course, shoving my hayffie as religion, he suspects either 1 or 2 of them are his)
Also in both version (Sometimes) Effie's eldest is Plutarch's
I know I just said they're cousins in the other AU, BUT PLEFFIE/PLUFFIE IS MY GUILTY PLEASURE OKAAAY so yes, they have an oopsie kid.
And while (I HC a boy) they get the name and the money of a HB, they also get the love and well manners of a Trinket (An also the looks tho).
Plutarch and Effie are 100% on friendly terms for the kid (Althought at some point Plutarch did tried to persuade Effie to get married but she refused his proposal—several times), they ain't in love or anything is so clear they're clearly in contact for the child even the kid knows about it and it's like "Oh yeah I shouldn't exist but my parents were bored/drunk the day I was made" (Typa joke to lift/kill the mood).
Anyway, lowkey hayffie may or not happen here (Making Haymitch a little jelly knowing about their kid).
Also in the OG version (Dead Kids Edition) Effie struggles w her mental health post-war and is a littleee bit neglectful w her kid (The one remaining) obvs this is something explored in the AU (And basically Effie eventually goes back to her senses and takes care of her kid—a girl btw).

This one was inspired by one of those fics, but I read this one that was too short for my liking and inspired this AU
Yes, Lucy Gray volunteers for Katniss, but the real reason she went all that way back to D12 was for her kid. Her grandkid, HER grandson, HERRR grandBABYboy, and obvs Snow goes CRAZY (Cuz wdym *she* has a GRANDCHILD?)
This one has plenty of branches for me to twist, either the Capitol kidnaps Lucy Gray's grandkid to torture him while she's in D13/ or he's okay and they got back for him after the bombing in D12/ or they rescue him Peeta style (He's not the one tortured in this one—Peeta).
Also, there's this option where he's Snow related/ or not, and it's AlluciSnow at it again cuz I picture this boy as blonde w blue eyes, but that could mean anything, y'know (Maude Ivory reference... idk)
Oh, and it's either Lucy Gray and her grandboy against the world or the Novo Covey—which means Lucy Gray made a whole new family of her own in the woods out of D12 (And makes Coriolanus more insane)
But mostly I go with Lucy Gray & Baird Boy (Grandson)
The important thing in this AU is that she never breaks into giving his name (Nor him, not even by the Capitol in the Tortured Ver.)
And last but not least, in this AU I always say Lucy Gray dies… But sometimes I'd like to believe she and the Baird Boy are forever together lost in the outsides of D12 after the war/ or just live quietly in the Victor Villahe w Everlark and Haymitch until Lucy Gray dies of old age/ or just the Baird Boy goes back to D12 on his own and gets lost in the woods/ Or he's highly depressed after his granny passing... The possibilites are endless! So many branches, but yes… Most the times she "dies" or dies.
I never talk about this one, but technically is about Prim going to the Games for the Quarter Quell—in this one Lucy Gray's grandson is there too (Again) so we have Baird Boy @ it again.
All this starts after Everlark Victory Tour were some peacekeepers find either Lucy Gray + Baird Boy/ or the Novo Covey.
Snow knows about this and the Quarter Quell theme changes (Kinda like that one Plutarch scene deleted from Catching Fire film), so, when it's announced Katniss *knows* Prim is gonna be reaped (And Gale probably cuz of the "cousin" thing even if he's not of age anymore)
But of course, they don't know Lucy Gray is alive and being forcibly dragged back to D12 w her grandson (Or family, Novo Covey Ver.)
So, at Reaping Day, Prim and this "nobody" related to Lucy Gray (Whose alive and forced to stand beside her fellow Victors with peacekeeper at her sides!!!) are taken to the Capitol as tributes and everything is the same and quite no (?)
Also, I know the tributes only get 1 mentor per pair, but we're ignoring that and I'm putting Katniss and Lucy Gray as their mentors (I feel it would be worse if I put Peeta/Haymitch cuz they'd be both desperate and Haymitch would lose his shit once more by AGAIN looking at a blonde boy and one of his best friend's daughther).
Prim and Baird Boy play the longest game and the revolution starts anyway but different in this one also dependes how I'm feeling to either see if it's Prim the one staying in the Capitol (Driving Katniss crazy and Peeta trying to comfort her) or the Baird Boy (And Lucy Gray + Novo Covey —depends— loses her shit too).
But most of the story is the same, Katniss is the mockingjay and all that, only added another layer of angst and lore drop by using TBOSAS and SOTR.
This AU is the messiest cuz it's the less planned one...
But the idea is Prim stays alive (And Lucy Gray and Baird Boy die, or not, and Prim dies...).

First things first, this AU is mainly about Tigris (Duuu) + The Trinkets! AKA what would have happened if she didn’t break-up w her boyfriend (Who, in dis AU, is Effie's grandpa!).
Also, Messalina/Silius are out of the picture due the scandal, they're there, but do not get much involved after all they went through.
Anyway—the main reason (Amongst others) in which Tigris and Grandpa Trinket break-up is because she's afraid/embarrassed to him the way/where the Snow's live, so, instead of that, in this AU Tigris does show him the apartment (Knowing that probably it will make them break-up).
Buuut, instead of that GT (Sorry I don't have a name for him) says something like "Gurl you live like this?" And decides the Snows should move in w him/ his family obvs Tigris at first is adamant to accept, but since the Trinkets got a better economy... She gets conviced.
OBVS Grandma'am and Coriolanus don't like it very much (And kind of guilt-trip Tigris for accepting her boyfriends offer cuz lowkey accepting it would mean she gets married into the Trinkets) But in the end they end up giving in cuz there's no way they were gonna be left behind.
Anyway, they move in w the Trinkets and Coriolanus is not taking it very well cuz of his internalized clasism and all that, also—I said it in my Trinket Family HCs post, but they have a glass-greenhouse of butterflies, so, they move Grandma'am rose garden there.
Coriolanus is obviously uncomfortable to be at the expenses of the Trinkets "fortune" (Check out my HCs about them to understand this part, but to add more to it: Mostly I firmly believe Trinkets stuggled during the Dark Days and only started to be stable AFTER cuz I think plenty of people tried to pretend to not be in a bad economy showing off luxury throught stuff like jewelry and clothes—sort of like Coriolanus did in TBOSAS) GT tries to bond w him (Since they're technically bros-in-law) but Coriolanus couldn’t care less about his attempts.
But, obviously it does a little effect on him and tries to not think much about it (AKA GT is one of those people that tried to lead Coriolanus is the path of goodness AND FAILED) And it gets worse as Tigris officializes her relationship w GT.
Tigris starts working @ the Trinkets and basically adapts w her new life (And even Grandma'am lowkey accepts it having casual banter w GT/ Messalina's Grandpa) Coriolanus is the only one badly coping w it and pretending everything is fine @ school.
If I ain't mistaken, Tigris is 18~ when she mets GT, so Coriolanus is 14~ I believe. So, Coriolanus must be lowkey starting fresh at the Academy and just like he knows to do—builts up a lie about how his cousin moved out but him and Grandma'am are doing just fine @ home.
He tries to never let slide how now they live in the "Novo rich" way the Trinkets do, but is hard when not only Tigris but also GT act as his guardians at the Academy—which makes his classmates talk about his relationship w them and he keeps pretending more and more.
Sejanus do clocks his shit but is chill (And says nothing but the way he treats Coriolanus after knowing makes his other classmates suspect) about it (And even slightly befriends GT and Tigris which makes Coriolanus's hatred for him grow for having to live like "that") And anyway, everything is the same during TBOSAS, even his motives, he tries to regain Snows rep and all that.
And fights even more to get Plinth prize to get tfo of the Trinket's, which Grandma'am encourages in him, meanwhile Tigris is conflicted (ATP she and GT are married and planning on a kid) So everything that happens in TBOSAS stays the same, except when Coriolanus is sent to D12.
They don't lose the apartment (Nor the Plinths bought it back) Instead, Tigris and GT have a kid, Coriolanus feels his cousin is drifting away and it adds layers when all his little thing w Sejanus and Lucy Gray happens.
So, he gets back @ the Capitol.
The Plinths financies his studies (And he takes it in order to quit depeding on the Trinkets) and get away from Tigris who's doing a new life wo him And makes sure to guilt-trip his cousin (AGAIN) So Tigris eventually works anyway as stylist in the games.
Tigris who of course is sad and dissapointed on Coriolanus for the man he turned out to be despite her (And husband's) efforts. So, here's where we get to SOTR Tigris's kids have kids, and one of them is Effie.
She clings to her and Prosie eventually. (Kinda picture they're her —Tigris and GT's— eldest son's so maybe that's why they're so attached, they're basically their first grankids).
Effie studies something more related to fashion than arquitecture (Whose that popular HC of what she studied I believe) So, the Quarter Quell tributes not only wear Uncle Silius's clothes, but also some old clothes of Coriolanus (Not that they know tbh).
Which is one of the reasons of why Tigris gets fired as stylist (Cuz Coriolanus seeing all that and knowing all that happend w Haymitch he's far from happy, and his despise for the Trinkets keeps growing and never leaves), and that's also why Effie stays as an escort (Cuz whose more powerful: Her grandma or her *technical* granduncle?) Also since Tigris stayed "A Trinket" she’s 100% in contact 0 w Snow by this time of the events.
Sooo, by the revolution time, and since Tigris is alive and "well" and I start to split the AU here, where either Effie goes to D13 or gets even more horribly tortured by the Capitol Depending on that I would love to add that mayyybe Tigris goes to D13 and bonds more w Effie if I choose the first one.
Since, well, now they're the only family to each other remaining/ orrr Effie is in the Capitol and Tigris is worried/ or the other way around (Effie in D13 worried for her grandma since everyone else is dead)
Anyway, the war ends and the ending is open (To me) if I decide to make this hayffie crumbled and Effie (And Tigris) go live in D12.
Or I stay simple and make them live together chilling in the Capitol until Tigris passes away of age... That's it, that's the AU, I haven't thought too much about it, but maybe I'll work out more stuff in the mean timeee.
