Environmentally Friendly Papers

Polyart

This is actually plastic so it can be recycled to infinity! 

When incinerated under the right conditions, Polyart is non-toxic and does not produce dioxins or other highly toxic materials.

Polyart production waste is regranulated and recycled in our production processes.

Polyart has no impact on forest resources.

The Polyart manufacturing process uses five times less water that traditional paper production, thus preserving water resources.

Polyart can be printed using vegetal oil-based inks made from soy, a completely renewable product.

Xerox isn't quite there yet but it's still worth mentioning.

Looks like it's quite an old company and it has a million sustainability certifications.

By using Green-e Certified renewable energy, Neenah Paper is replacing fossil fuels with energy generated from sources such as hydro, wind and solar power.

Neenah Paper is committed to reducing our carbon footprint through investments in energy conservation and renewable energy resources. 

Neenah Paper offers a variety of Processed Chlorine Free papers made with 100% post consumer recycled fiber. 

Alternative Fiber Papers are made with a combination of alternative fiber such as bagasse and bamboo, and 50% post consumer recycled fiber. These papers require fewer chemicals and less energy to manufacture.

Cascades

The waste paper used by Cascades comes from industrial, commercial, institutional and municipal sources.

These types of waste paper come in three grades: 

+ The brown grades, made up of unbleached kraft pulp (approximately 57% of the fibres purchased by Cascades). + The white grades, made up of chemically bleached kraft pulp (approximately 37% of the fibres purchased by Cascades). + Groundwood grades, made up of mechanical pulp (approximately 6% of the fibres purchased by Cascades). 

FSC-certified products are a guarantee of healthy forest management, attesting that the company respects the biodiversity of tree species and wildlife habitats, plants trees for forest renewal, and forbids clear-cutting, which destroys eco-systems.
