Y'all. I have to drive 90 min to get my Jeep serviced but damn is it worth it. First off, this dealership is mostly melanated...at all levels. When I call, they address me by name when they answer, apologize if they miss my call.. They take time to shoot the shit with me, make sure they understand my concerns and fully comprehend that I know far more about vehicles than the average driver.
Contrast this with the last dealership who:
Failed to give me a work order, let alone sign one (illegal in Colorado)
Charged me above the warranty/national guideline rate (newly illegal in Colorado)
Returned my vehicle smoking from the exhaust system (I suspect the DPF) and told me it was my valve cover gasket (which resides a good 3 ft away from the smoking parts). When i call them to let them know they start off with "well we only worked on your cps" implying they didn't touch the exhaust...after literally 3 days of asserting the overcharge was because they had to drop the exhaust system. Shady.
Coming into my trusted mechanic, they were up front about wait times, and also told me tales of racism from nearby dealerships in Boulder. Back when I had the RAV, I got the same behavior from Toyota...a sort of "oh suuuure you know about cars, eye roll, whatever." Then when they tell me some cock and bull and I'm like "but how? Because your statement contradicts the diagnosis." All of a sudden I'm annoying and they don't have time for me. This last Dodge dealer fucking avoided my calls when I asked for the work order. (I called at 2:16, no answer, 2:17 the requested work order appears in my inbox.)
I'm near tears for the decency I get at the far/original Dodge Ram dealer. My old salesperson even came out, gave me a big hug, asked me how I'm liking the Jeep, asked about my life and my mom, wanted to know if he could do anything...just.. worth the fucking 90 min to have people actually give a fuck about you.
Fuck racism and misogyny and the condescending bastards who probably fucked up my Jeep. Yes, I'm thinking of taking the bad dealership them to court. Like duh.
