Rec: All the warm fuzzies! Lovers of love and lovers of music alike will find plenty to enjoy about this ingenious, insightful and instructive story. Sentiment and romance, it turns out, are not so anathema to Holmes at all -- much to not only Watson’s surprise, but his own as well. The flirts and sidelong glances are all the more delightful for their innocence, keeping to the rating but effectively and convincingly conveying the brimming emotions.

In addition to the romance, the story features a rather comprehensive dip into contemporary music of the era. The author has clearly done their research, and I learned something while being entertained, which is always a bonus in my book.
