John POV describing Sherlock: “His alien eyes—God, the way they moved through John. It was a sharp heat, to be looked at by Sherlock. Tense. It felt like dying in the best way. In a second, it was over. Sherlock sprang from his chair in a lanky pirouette, and John could already see his brilliant mind working, flickering. He could feel it in cool breath off a warm tongue. He could hear it in murmurs, in the rustling of curls.”

Sherlock POV describing John: “Sherlock could tell by the angle of John’s left buttcheek that he hadn’t slept well on the plane. Plus his perfect forehead wrinkles were even wrinklier. His powerful hands gripped the teacup in a soft rage, and Sherlock felt envious of its handle. Someone made an impatient sound. How long had Sherlock been staring? John’s pouty little jaw was clenched. Odd. Sexy, but odd. He considered knocking the sugar bowl onto the floor. That would bring up a lovely blood pink that made John’s eyes look unrealistically blue.”
