East Coast Solidarity Summer, a FREE radical summer retreat for east coast South Asians/Indo-Caribbean folks still has spots open!!
East Coast Solidarity Summer (ECSS) is a social justice organizing retreat for all South Asian, Indo-Caribbean, and Desi-identifying youth, 15- 24 years old. Focused on community-building through engaged, supportive peer learning, ECSS is a radical space for young people to examine local and global systems of injustice and what activism and justice can look like through critical South Asian, Indo-Caribbean, and Desi perspectives.
Desi refers to people whose "origins" (culturally, ancestrally, etc.) are from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, the Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka, and the diaspora spreads from Fiji to Trinidad, Kenya to the Persian Gulf, South Africa to Guyana, from Southall (UK) to Brampton (Canada)
