Is the cup half Empty?

Well, I guess the cup isn’t really half anything, but saying “is the cup 3/4th empty?” doesn’t really have the same ring to it. I like what I did with the changing stitch directions/thickness with this one.

Day 18: Eyes/Teeth

His eyes were the wrong color… what was wrong with his eyes?

Y’all. I went so off pattern for this one it’s insane. Eventually I just gave up and started doing Whatever, hence the eye color itself being nothing like the one in the pattern.

Day 20: Fight/Flight

The ice core is leaking through. Just a bit.

Today’s picture features a cameo by my Cold War class binder instead of my desk. Today would also be one of those days where I look at the pattern and go “that’s just a suggestion”, so it is. Wildly off pattern once I hit the ice spray. I also made the pattern by taking a picture of my hand, drawing my hand, slapping the drawing into a cross stitch pattern converter, and then messing with it until it actually resembled a hand, because freestyling cross stitch patterns scares me.

Day 21: Coronation/Coup

An unwilling king

For today, we return to our regularly scheduled background of My Desk. The stitches got a bit wonky because I haven’t been keeping track of the spacing between days, ignore the bits of ice in Danny’s face lol. But I’ve been looking forward to this one! I kept having to crop/scrub out the ashes from other images to save the surprise.

Day 12: Way of Life/Cause of Death

The portal requires a sacrifice to activate…

Fixed the cup from yesterday- I forgot to finish three of the black stitches for the outline rip. My tactic with this one is “go crazy with the greens, the pattern is only a suggestion”.
