surprised so many of you liked my skrunkly 😭 here are some funfacts about them

INNOGEN THE LAPDOG - FUNFACTS [ 1? ]

⥼║ Innogen's hair used to be super long, but was clipped for health reasons. Their hairstyle now is a product of dye + perm, let's just say Innogen had NO idea what they were doing and now is stuck with a buzzcut with uneven new growth at the bottom. (Their other eyebrow is also unevenly dyed!)

⥼║ The cross necklace around their neck is a present from Domnhall.

⥼║ They LOVE snakes, Innogen finds them neat and cute. They've only witnessed Bailey's snake once and went cuckoo (in a very cool and natural way of course).

⥼║ They have an 'affinity' towards people way older than them!

⥼║ Innogen is extremely crafty and a tinkerer! Housekeeping, Science classes, and surfing the web at school has taught them a lot! Was very happy to discover that the tobacco in cigarettes is way more effective in the eyes long-term than pepper spray.

⥼║ Innogen early years were spent in Cooley Peninsula, Ireland. But they were really young and hold no memories of their home or family.

⥼║ Has a woody but sweet scent! Whoever has been near them say it either reminds them of a pine tree or a plant, it's hardly strong but it's super nice to pick up when near them. (They made it themself!!)

⥼║ LOVESSSS Alternative/Electronic/Experimental noise music! Their reward after a long day of work is to return to their room and- work some more but at least music is involved! They have a jailbroken knock-off of an ipod with a selection of a few songs they downloaded in advance. Three of these few songs being:

Goa the Arsonist [Do as I say] • Igorrr [Cheval] • 1-800-PAIN [HSM]

(For anyone curious! FAIR WARNING, they are loud so I'd recommended having your volume lowered and adjusting right after 😭)

Yesss, they would 😭 but they'll have trouble trying not to stare at it. They'd even try to hunt down whoever did that to him because...that's fucked up....ur hair gone sir 💔 (And now they'll have the terribe idea of putting Nair in everything!!)

Hi, I had a question about Innogen & realized this is an excuse to let you yap publicly about them. What kind of fighter is Innogen? Do they only fight battles they know they can win? Do they let hits get in, or overwhelm their opponents entirely? Can Innogen get spontaneous with makeshift weapons and such, or do they stick to the basics?

YAYYY HI!!! AND U ARE SO RIGHT- Absolutely perfect opportunity to dump sm info about Innogen

Working for Bailey—especially as one of his goons—pretty much requires you to be strong. They know it’s expected, so they keep their physique in top shape. Plus, it works out for them staying fit is part of the job, a drive to keep working. Simply put: Innogen is a fighter. A heavy-hitter who loves to fight and knows how to. But they don't find themself in many encounters (combat fame has its perks). Buuutttt if they’ve seen you fight your own battles, they might lean into trying to provoke a fight with you. (Out of interest? Curiosity? Thrill?) It’s subtle, though—you wouldn't even realize what they’re doing. And when that fight does happen, if you lose, you lose but them losing to you? Big love increase.

Onto combat, Innogen is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to reading their opponents—it comes from having high awareness. (Iittle idea that awareness works differently for most PCs, excluding the supernatural elements..... In this case, Innogen can read their opponents well in combat.) Anyways!! It really depends on who they’re up against and whether they’re busy. Most fights usually come to them rather than them initiating—unless it’s work-related. Whether or not the fight is something they can handle isn’t something they even consider. As a Sadomasochist leaning Maso, they’ll take a blow or two if they know they can—or if they feel like getting roughed up. But strangers? A weirdo? They’ll land more calculated hits to make sure you stay down and don’t get back up and then dipping. They have work to do!! Don’t get in their way!! That said, their health factors do get in way. Terrible endurance means most fights are over before they even start. But if a fight becomes enjoyable, they can get sidetracked—usually leading to over-exertion. (Though this rarely happens😭) PCs like Dulce? Innogen will absolutely let themselves take way more blows and attacks all in the name of their lovely combative relationship.

Weapons!! Innogen always carries a gym bag—you’ll hardly ever see them without it. Inside? An assortment of improvised weapons!! They are insanely crafty when it comes to makeshift weaponry in a fight. They’ve been pepper-sprayed so many times—and they are sick of it! After suffering through it one too many times, they made sure EVERYTHING on them was combat-ready—even their teeth!! Those shark teeth? Not cosmetic. They will bite you. And they will not let go. They'll only use this as retaliation if they’re sprayed or if their opponent has a weapon. Because if you do? Then they do too. Without their bag? That stick on the ground? Weapon. Someone’s bike? Weapon. Baby stroller? Weapon. Innogen rarely fights dirty or uses tricks in combat—unless: You’ve been fighting off Bailey to avoid rent or they have low respect for you.

The repetitive mechanics in-game is what helped shaped Innogen.

Tapping here, tapping there. Then, end the day. It's real life, getting up, working, then going home and sleeping to just do it all over again. The day loops once again, and from minor changes to the big ones throughout, there's still room to make money. Hit the market stalls, docks, chalets, and work for Bailey - did they eat today? What was today's date again? Which way is home? They stay up late to do what they like, the sun is rising and their bed is calling. Maybe one more hour, once again, only getting four hours of sleep...the day loops once again.

They wonder how long it'll take until they really shut down.

How does Innogen treat orphans who missed their payments due to being in the asylum?

The hospital usually phones Bailey to report their stay, but does Innogen receive that information? If Innogen knows the reason (by being told or the orphan saying so upon their return), are they any more forgiving than usual?

Does Innogen know if you're in the asylum? Yes, sometimes. When Bailey gets phoned, there's a solid chance the information does reach Innogen..or not, especially when they are tasked with collecting your debt. Telling them to their face will still have the same effect as the following; It's hard to tell if they are forgiving but they are definitely 'unbothered' when met face to face, won't ask for details, doesn't want to know them- will "welcome you back to the living" and then proceed to move on. They don't know much about the alysum other than the fact they could have been there themself but doesn't like to think about it, this also applies to anyone who came from the underground brothel.

Missed payments are still missed payments, and they still have a job to do, but they are more than likely to delay any further punishment- leave you alone and won't bother delving into the topic of payment and such when brought up. In time they'll eventually revert to how they usually are.
