I feel bad for people that go to Ed Debevics not knowing what they do
Chicago area Cruise Nights and Car Shows Summer 2013!
If you haven't eaten ad Ed Debevic's you haven't lived
Gonna be posting some videos. We went to a restaurant called Ed debevics, where the waiters get to be mean to to you and you get to be mean back!
Chicago
Chicago, Illinois is one of the most well known cities in the United States. And while more than 2 million people live there, many others have never set foot in the Windy City. Being from Toledo, Ohio, which is only a 4-hour drive from, Chicago, I had been to dozens of times before Adrian College took me and the rest of the freshman class there for welcome week. For some of my new friends, though, it was a completely new experience.
As it turned out, the experience was new for me too. Every other time I had gone to Chicago there were itineraries and places that I had to go to at certain times. Welcome week, however, was completely different. Our first day there, with no schedule to guide us, my friends and I walked around everywhere: to the Bean, to Waterfront Mall, and we even found what we have now dubbed the "Face Fountains" two fountains at least 50 feet tall with LED faces on them and water that you could splash in. I am proud to say we were all soaked by the time we returned to the hotel.
The next day was just as awesome. With nothing but hunger in our stomachs, we walked 2.6 miles to eat lunch at a restaurant (Ed Debevics) that is loud, obnoxious, and rude…on purpose. After getting mocked for being a "dirty hippie" and asked whether our clothes came from our grandmothers, we got our food, which was delicious . The service was actually pretty good too, if you could look past the rather distracting and inappropriate entertainment. Having dinner at the original Uno’s was also great, and a true Chicago experience.
Going to Chicago was a great way to really get to know the people that I had tentively called my friends. I definitely became closer with several people, and I even got myself a date. Now, almost a month later I'm great friends with those I hung out with and still dating my date! It was an amazing experience. No schedules, no parents, just two days of fun.
