Chapter 43 summary: Gaia wouldn't leave without saying goodbye to Ed at least. And we spend an unholy amount of time on this. Maybe I would care if I hadn't STOPPED CARING LIKE 30 BOOKS EARLIER.

Chapter 27 summary: Ed and Kai go to prom together. Ed can't stop thinking about Gaia. NEXT.
And if the girls in college were anything like this… he was going straight to trade school.
Chapter 14 summary: Ed goes to Starbucks, but ends up in the middle of the FOH as they talk about prom. Yes, it's an unholy mess of “this isn't important” and “nobody fucking cares okay?” When they start talking about Gaia, Ed makes an excuse to leave.
“I know,” Ed said. Boy, did he know. He knew all too well.
Chapter 4 summary: Ed goes to visit Heather, only for her to say that she can see again! Granted, it's only just super blurry, but it's getting better, which gives everybody hope that one day, she'll be better. And considering that it was a drug-induced thing, it had always been the hope of everybody that this would happen.
She goes on to say that she will be graduating with everybody at the village high school. Also, she's being allowed to go to prom, but only with a chaperone. She asks Ed, but he's already going with Kai. They talk briefly about the rumor mill around Gaia.
