Fremantle have secured a future second round selection and moved up four places in the second round of the 2019 NAB AFL National Draft in a deal that sees midfielder Ed Langdon join the Melbourne Demons.
Freo have also received Melbourne’s pick no.79 in the 2019 draft in exchange for a future fourth round selection.
The deal means Fremantle currently hold picks seven, 22, 79 and 83 in the 2019 draft.
Langdon was selected at pick no.54 in the 2014 National Draft and played 68 games for Fremantle between 2015 and 2019.
Fremantle list manager Mark Micallef wished Langdon well at his new club.[x]
Fremantle captain Nat Fyfe has defended star Michael Walters, saying AFL opponents are terrorising him off the ball.
Fremantle’s Ed Langdon will come under scrutiny for an incident where he tangled with Jayden Hunt and his knee ended up on the Melbourne player’s head.
