Something i adore about No Good Nick is that Ed and Liz (the parents) actually talk in s1 about their relationship problems and in s2 THEY WORK ON THEM.
In s1 ed made liz do more of the hard parenting while he just did the fun stuff. Literally in the first episode of s2 they make it clear that Ed isn't doing that anymore. He's going out of his way to handle problems upfront even when it makes him uncomfortable or makes the kids upset
He also works harder to support liz and shows he appreciates her.
Liz for her part thanks him for what he's doing and let's him take the reins in a way she didn't back in s1 cause liz couldn't trust ed to clean up his messes. Now she can let him parent without hovering cause she knows it won't be her job to fix any mess ed leaves behind
in short I love that the show let the character improve and STAY improved instead of creating needless relationship drama we already dealt with
ohhh evil ed...... my poor boy.... you deserved so much better...... oh edward..... :( i could treat you so much better <\3 those assholes dont see you for you..... 😭😭😭😭😭
I started watching No Good Nick again and I was wondering, would anyone be interested in reading No Good Nick fics? Would anyone send requests?
Should I write for No Good Nick?

WIP WEDNESDAY
Invincible: Presenting Tech Jacket (Based off the comic by Robert Kirkman, Ryan Ottley and Cory Walker)
PART 2 of the previous wip wednesday (because I've regained my computer privileges thanks to convenience :D)
Zack walks himself back home, saying hello to his dad as he enters his shop. The two share a hug as his father spoke:
ED: Hey, kiddo. Why the long face?
He asked, noticing the clear sadness in his son’s eyes.
ZACK: I’m fine. It's just… some tests in school.
Ed patted Zack on the back before they both went behind the counter to clean up before closing. Then, the front door opened.
ED: Zack, could you but this hammer back? I gotta check this.
ZACK: Sure.
Ed left for the counter, and Zack put the hammer back on the shelf. Then he heard an agonizing scream that came from Ed. He ran out and saw two goons from the mafia beating on him and breaking his hand with a hammer.
ZACK: DAD!
GOON 1: Stay outta this kid. This’ll teach your old man to pay the rent on time.
The two goons, dropping the hammer on the floor and cracking a tile before leaving. Zack rushes over to Ed and moves an arm under his father and lifts him up.
ZACK: Dad, who the hell were those guys?
ED: Trust me, Zack, don’t ask.
ZACK: Come on, let’s get you to the hospital.
The two then locked up the store before walking away.
just watched fright night (the 1985 one ofc) and I'm laughing my ass off thinking about the aftermath. like surely the neighbors heard the commotion. and what does ed do after all that?? I'm imagining that he just goes back to school with a wide-brim hat and tons of sunscreen and acts like nothing happened but one day in class he shoots charley the EVILEST vampiric grin but he transforms his face back so fast that no one else sees it. everyone else just thinks he's gone goth and/or that his new behavior is just part of his regular weirdness. his bullies do have a tendency to get night terrors or just straight-up disappear though
