as a separate thing. I realized that there is very little content that is just Eddie and Flash, there is almost always Symby too (Symbiot3). Not this time, the black mass is not Symby, it's just Eddie.

like I’m so sorry but it’s the other way around. Flash is so dog coded (specifically German Shepard) and Eddie is wet cat in the alley coded. like this is what Flash and Eddie look like in my brain when I think of them as an animal:

further pushing my catboy Eddie agenda, I think he took on some traits of Symby, who is very much cat coded. like, bro barely socializes with people outside of his alien goop husband so my thought process is he took on some of the ways they express affection (like rubbing his face on people) and also purrs like Symby. I will die on this incredibly stupid hill

the vs makes it sound like Eddie and Flash gonna fight, in which case Eddie would win simply because he has the advantage of being deranged and therefore unpredictable.

in reality (and by reality I mean my brain this is very much based on fucking nothing) they are living in domestic bliss with each other. world’s silliest threesome bc ofc Symby is also there with them. this is them:

Symby is both a cat and a dog to me. cat is easy they’ve literally been depicted as a cat several times and their vocalizations in older comics like “mrrrrp” sound like purrs. they’re a dog in like a poetry about dogs way as @french-toast-enjoyer put it. desperate for affection, clinging to it even when it hurts etc. Obviously they are a black cat and a pitbull!
